While I didn't see Jennifer in this for the matinee performance I attended, when her character makes the entrance in the red dress, I immediately thought of Peggy Cass in the movie version of "Auntie Mame", mainly because of the hairstyle as the dress Agnes wears is darker. I think because Helen went from awkward to confident, she would still have elements of her shyness in her and overplay the kittenish aspects of what she was now expected to do. Agnes pretty much did the same thing, and both were equally as funny.
