"But the role of madcap spiritual godmother to little misfit monsters everywhere is one that Lady Gaga already has down cold."
Wow. That's nice and alienating.

6:01 pm Ben, have you been rifling through my casting files again? I must confess, I do have this vision of seeing you and Isherwood belting out the Hot Honey Rag at our halfway house on 49th Street.
My only hang up is: who plays Velma and who plays Roxie? Which one of you has the highest kick, again?

HA! Well it kind of is like a celebrity halfway house, helping wayward celebs get back on their feet and restart their careers.
I have no use for the man or his work.

The Wall Street Journal says that Lady Gaga has more Facebook and Twitter fans than President Obama.
Where do all these "little misfit monsters" misfit?

I've never seen Ben Brantley but I imagine him to look like the restaurant critic in Ratatouille.

I'm not really taking a position on Gaga or Brantley (nor am I trying to be a bitch), but you know that Gaga calls her fans (and they call themselves) "little monsters," right?
I was only recently aware of it. But I didn't realize that was a regular thing. LOL
I'm SO not her demographic.
EDIT: P.S. --- Phyllis, does she call them "misfit monsters?"

I still can't think of a venue big enough for the little monsters to misfit in.

Ben seeks solace in Offish and Off, Off, Off & Away from Broadway shows, chasing playwrights Kushner and Beane:

But the real question one must ponder is whether Ben will return to review Spidey 2.0, or rest on his past Spidey revelations?
Would the NY Times send Ben or another reviewer to (re)cover the "opening"....?
Granted the reviews would be expected to be overlooked and buried by the post-Tony award news and celebrations, the new advertisements of the winning shows, etc.
