Is Dracula worth seeing?

There has been many threads about how good and bad it is. Is it worth going in case it closes soon?

I suggest only going if you can get rush tickets (which are easy to get). Otherwise I feel it would be a waste of 101 dollars. But if you really want to know, go see it. We could all hate it, and you could love it. It's definitely not Wildhorn's best, but if you're a fan, it might be worth seeing just to say you saw it.
There are some people in the world who say that writing stories, or composing music or dancing sparkly dances is easy for them. Nothing interferes with their ability to create. While I celebrate their creative freedom, a little part of me just wants to punch those motherf*ckers in the teeth...[tos]

well you won't know until the 6th if he's going to be there or not. i went 20 minutes before the show and got 5th row tickets rush. so i don't think you'll really have a problem, especially if you get there early. :)

Definately! It is one of those shows that one either LOVES or HATES so you really have to decide for yourself! I don't think it will close anytime this year, but maybe in the beginning of next season, who knows? re: Is Dracula worth seeing? I hope it lasts, I really enjoyed it!

You can also get half-price tickets by using a discount code...

I'm not sure anything is worth $100 per ticket, but for $50, I'd go... It's not the best thing I've ever seen, but it was entertaining.

I loved Dracula. It follows the story line very close, has great special effects and that Tom Hewitt is absolutely gorgeous. I heard groans in the audience when the show got "gory" for people but that is story. It is done very well. I want to see Tom again........He can bite my neck any time!!!!!!!!!!!!

There were very few people waiting for autographs when the stars came out. I caught a few of them and then Tom came out. Oh God, up close he has the most gorgeous eyes!!!!!!! He is a very nice guy also. Beautiful man.

I would say go see it. I saw it in August. There are parts when its not so great, but the set is amazing, which in itself is worth seeing. And Tom is a really nice guy. I met him after the show and talked with him for a few minutes

Is DRACULA worth seeing? Boy, everything is SO subjective, isn't it?

How do you go wrong with a basis like the Dracula story? I don't know, but they did. And this is coming from a loyal Wildhorn fan who adores Tom Hewitt. Adores vampire stories. Adores Don Stephenson. I wanted to like it. I really did. I made a specific point, above the objections from others, to see it. Am I sorry I did? No. I had to see for myself. Will I see it again? No. In fact, sorry to say, this will probably be the only Wildhorn CD I don't buy. The performers were all solid. That wasn't the problem. But somehow the few moments of brilliance couldn't compensate for a lagging book, and sad lyrics and score. Costumes were beautiful.

If you can get a discount and have the time and money, I say go. But if time and money is a factor...well there are too many other powerful, lasting, endearing shows to see.

If you've already seen everything else on broadway go see Dracula.

If you love beautiful costumes, pretty singing voices, and female nudity, go see Dracula.

If you like seeing people hanging from wires being dragged across the stage, go see Dracula.

If you like well developed characters, beautiful music and clever lyrics go see Wonderful Town.

If you like the story and love gothic, it is great. I was mezmerized. The show had beautiful costumes, wonderful special effects and keep me enthralled. I did not say to myself this is dragging. The show moved quickly for me. The nude scene was very brief. No biggie. I think Tom Hewitt was very credible as Dracula and spooky. Don Stephenson was very good as Reinfield. We saw the understudy of Melissa Ericco who was quite good. Yes, I plan to go again!!!!!! The music was not that memorable but other things compensated for it.

Don't sit too close - you are better off farther away to get a better view of the stage and effects.

ummm I really enjoyed the music... i hated to book and found it boring... but i like the costumes and the music... i thought both were pretty... mmm and Tom Hewitt too... but yea i would do the 20 dollar student rush to see it
