This may be a silly question, but how much do rush tickets run?

Saw the show this weekend. Frank Wildhorn was there, so maybe they are still working on the show, a la Pimpernel. The people behind us were talking about the changes in the show.
We had a blast. The show was fun. It was spectacle. It was Frank Wildhorn.
Bad side was that the Johnathan Harker was soooooooooooo flat. We thought about asking for a refund for his part of the performance.

My Advice:
Although never seing the show this is what I picked up:
Tom Hewitt an amazing actor but when he gets finally... another chance at a big role. goes sick for a few weeks!
The Music: Unless you are a big fan of Frank Wildhorn you will like it but if you are like me I found most of it confusing.
My conclusion: it has it's ups and downs but comes down to....
what $$$ you bought the tickets for or.... the other availible options.

Posted: 10/13/04 at 5:07pmYeah, hi, Tom Hewitt missed 1 performance. Errico has been the one who has been out sick, but she is scheduled to return this week.

Posted: 10/13/04 at 5:07pmIt IS worth seeing. You may not love it. But, wil all the press, it's definitely worth seeing just for the curiosity.

Posted: 10/14/04 at 10:13amThe show is visually stunning! Same set designer as Tom Sawyer. The book and music are not nearly as strong as they should be. I thought the performances out of most of the cast were also great for what they have to work with.

Tom Hewitt's performance mezmerising? I wouldn't say so.
He's walking/flying around with this "scary" expression (= eyes wide open, mouth tightly closed, looking dead serious) on his face - just like about a hundred other actors before him!! It's nothing new!
But his singing IS fantastic! I'd like to hear him singing the title role of The Phantom of the Opera.

I think it's worth it strictly for Tom Hewitt.

Posted: 10/14/04 at 1:10pmIn my opinion the lyrics to most of the songs are just laughable. Plus I could hardly understand most of Tom Hewitt's lines through that ridiculous accent--and I was sitting close! I couldn't hum you a single tune from the show, and one of the numbers really didn't need to be in the show at all. The effects are impressive, but that seems to be about it for me. Just my two cents-although they may not be worth much from a Newb. :)

Posted: 10/14/04 at 5:15pmNo. I didn't buy Hewitt as Dracula. At the end, I and most of the audience stayed seated. The lyrics were asinine and the music dreary. Only saving grace - it was beautifully sung by a game cast.
