^^^ Maybe Harry11 could be the replacement for the troublesome Olaf puppet.

I think Harry11 and bobburgers(the guy trying to sell the tickets for $10K a piece) is the same person.
The Times review can be summed by the following: Schumacher has to decide if he wants Grandage to take Frozen in the purist theme park spectecal route (Aladdin/Beauty and the Beast) or allow the Frozen the musical to be a true theatrical interpretation of the movie's basic story (Lion King/Mary Poppins/Newsies).
"A house divided against itself cannot stand". It seems like all of the critics seem to agree that the bones of Frozen are in great shape though which is a great sign for a show with the biggest bullseye since Spiderman on its back. Its unlike Tarzan and Little Mermaid where most reviews were of the "What were they thinking?!?" Variety. As Schumacher proved with Aladdin that he is willing to spend to money to make the changes necessary. Also its better for a show of this caliber to open mixed out of town so that expectations are lower when it opens in New York. We have seen this with musicals like American Idiot and Groundhog Day where the barbwas set very high by the buzz built by their out of New York tryouts was met with a Meh I guess its ok...." when they opened in New York, unlike pleasant suprise reviews we have seen with Aladdin, Come From Away, and Kinky Boots.

1) To literally try the show out in front of a live audience then make needed tweaks (didn't Finding Neverland actually replace all of its music after its first try-out run with Jeremy Jordan? Not that it helped from what I hear).
2) To just give the performers a chance to get more practice in their roles in an environment that may be more forgiving than the typical Broadway preview audiences.
3) To create buzz for the show before it moves to Broadway.
Ideally, I suppose it's all of the above, but we'll see if that's true for Frozen. Did previous Disney out-of-town try-outs get significant revisions or tweaks prior to their Broadway transfers? I believe the onlytheatricalproductions of Disney properties (movies) I've seen are The Lion King (on tour) and Aladdin (on Broadway)."
Pretty much all of this. It's always a mix of those things. The only Disney musical that I can think of that underwent the most changes from pre broadway to broadway is Aladdin, and well...that didn't help any because it's still the very definition of "nothing-but-glitz-and-glamour, tourist trap" show. Honestly i's just shone plastic, has nowhere even close to the same level of heart it's film has. The only thing I really liked about it was that they added back in Proud of Your Boy. None of the other Disney properties went though that many changes. I'm still miffed they don't use To Be Free for Jasmine...And yes this is a silly thread (why am I even here commenting?) but you'd have to do some major comparing to every out of town tryout ever....and that's a lot. We CAN compare it to other Disney shows though, Tarzan got much worse if I recall correctly, but I don't think it had a out of town tryout.
or allow the Frozen the musical to be a true theatrical interpretation of the movie's basic story (Lion King/Mary Poppins/Newsies).
Newsies?!?! I left the tour at intermission. It's probably the most commercialized theme-parky production I've seen from Disney. I actually enjoyed Aladdin more.

But I hold them to a really high standard. Which I expect from them every time. I saw great shows like Lion King and Mary Poppins. I work my arse off every day of the week. I am disabled . I expect everyone to work as hard as me.
When I see a multi million dollar cooperation being cheap . It really annoys me . And makes my heart break . Because I expect them to be the best . This just feels rushed way of getting money. Rather then creating something good.
I have seen Matilda those producers cared. Actually gave a ****. About the quality of the material. It annoys me something so great had a short life on Broadway. And something that is as good as something that people use to wipe bums with. Is actually going to have a long life.
Disney used to care about the quality of its musicals. Sadly I feel that is now gone . And it pisses me off.
I see shows that people put a lot of soul and heart in not run. And musicals that are sold out last a long time.
This is the worse thing about broadway.
Like why does Jerry Mitchell and the producers actually ant to hire the best people for KB. Rather than just going for the highest dollar. I wish every producer was like Matilda's or Phan toms. Because they actually care
