a.) If Harvey were leaving anytime soon, it'd be all over the Broadway press and you wouldn't have to ask
b.) Harvey has never missed a full show.. he wasunable to continue one performance and JP Dougherty played the second act in his place
only half of one show he became ill and had to leave a few weeks ago. He's very dedacated to hos work and he has said he would feel bad for missing a show becasue of the Fans.
People really don't need to be asking if he is leavign all the time. I'm sure if he was we would know becasue it'll be all over the news .
I read somewhere that in the beginning of Hairspray's run he was annoyed when actors missed performances for no serious reason and he put up a Hall of Shame where he put up the picture of any actor who missed a show for no reason. He is quoted as saying something like " A working actor who is not on stage should be either in the hospital or the grave" !! What a pro !!!!

Harvey was apparently very upset when that was said and is supposedly called the company together and told them not to listen to ridiculous tales..
Harvey's contract is up in November.

Is this Hairspay you mention the latest Broadway Barks benefit? If so, it would make sense that Harvey's involved as he's a known dog lover.

I hate to leave my Greek friends behind.
Thanks, everybody.
BroadwayNYC Thank you. I am impressed of your knowledge in my language. Are you Greek too by any chance?
broadwayguy2 you are one of my favorites and i have to apologise if this story i wrote is not true, I didn't know. Although I have to confess it sounded like Harvey, that's why i didn't doublecheck it :)
Take care
I wrote Harvey a letter this past December asking if he would still be there this coming August. He responded to my letter saying he would be long gone by then. That is just the response I got from the man himself. I really think he'll leave and Marissa will return.

Yes I'm Greek-American...I came back in 98 after living in Athens for 8 years. I went to LaVerne for 2 years in Kifisia...I told you!! Did you go to LaVerne by any chance? Or Deree?
Anyway, as much as I love Greece and proud of being Greek, I love NYC too much to leave it again...(actually I live in NJ!!)
Poor guy. That show will be the end of him.
What's that supposed to mean?
PS I am now a Broadway Legend. Please do not pop the balloons.

YAY Phantom2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOOHOO
I would like to thank broadwayguy2...
Yes BroadwayNYC you did tell me, sorry about that. I went to Deree, that's where I got my B.A. Of course I can perfectly understand your choice of not wanting to leave NYC. I would do the same. This December was my first trip there and I was practically crying for having to leave and come back in Athens. I hope to come back many times :)
Take care
We all you home come back, soon, GMF.
Namo will be manning your welcome wagon at JFK.
Well, a welcome wagon, that sounds nice :) Provided of course that I land in JFK, because last time due to the snowstorm I landed in ATLANTA !!!! But being the smart guy that I am, instead of staying overnight there and risking another cancellation the next day like all the others did, my best friend, me and a cute Greek guy we met on the plane (nothing naughty unfortunately) we took a flight to Philly the same night and then took a cab to New York. After crossing an ocean, nothing could keep me from getting to NYC as soon as I landed foot !
Take care
