Is LITTLE MERMAID still aiming for Broadway in 2007?

Hmmm...if Disney does have this 3 show rule then why do people complain it is taking over Broadway?
Anyways, since Beauty, Lion King, and Tarzan are such commercialized Disney productions, *if* they were gonna close, we would've known about it by now. I doubt the show would close so suddenly since I believe they recouped their investments (with the exception of Tarzan, which isn't close to closing either) and aren't losing any money. And Mary Poppins is coming in a little over a month...that would make 4 shows. And I highly doubt any of the current shows are going to close that soon. So this 3 show Disney rule is nonsense, I think.

Act4ever i was thinking the same thing, do people do the same thing ove Cam Mac or if Sondhiem was to have 3 or 4 shows running at the same time would people say he was talking over Broadway..
Now before people jump all over me, the Lion King could very well be the worst show in history, Beauty had a moment or one, so i am not some Disney fan.

Posted: 8/26/06 at 9:25amI think I adequately explained why I am not a fan of the Disney Corporation, which is the reason I would prefer Broadway not become Disney-fied.

Kerry Butler as Ariel and Sara Ramirez as Ursula
:) that'd be awesome
and i think that maybe when LITTLE MERMAID decides to come, BEAUTY will close. But am I the only one that thought TARZAN was great, and the best Disney show I've seen? I know some songs are horrible, but I thought it was great!

Posted: 8/26/06 at 9:45amI think Disney has a good thing going. Yes, Lion King may not have been theatrically the best show ever but it is such an entertaining spectacle. And I mean, I have listened to many Disney soundtracks (like Hercules, Little Mermaid and Prince of Egypt.. is that Disney?) and they are far better than many new Broadway scores coming out today.

Little Mermaid did a work shop in London a few months back.
Disney i doubt will run 5 shows on Broadway. Its ok for Cam Mac to run 5 shows because his shows vary from Cats to Miss Saigon to Mary Poppins. Disney are roughly the same sort of shows.
If Little Mermaid opened on Broadway it would probably replace BEauty and The BEast. It could premiere in London first

yeah, Sara might look a little young, but with the makeup and everything she'd be great
and especially when Ursula transforms into a human, that would be awesome!
Sara really needs to do this...

I really loved the song I heard with Kerry Butler.. I only heard ("If Only") and I could never find any of the other music..
They took down the website that had the demo up, right?
