Passed by this weekend and saw Ms. Kennedy's name up on the boards on both days. Thinking of SROing it tomorrow nite. Anyone know if she's back?

Rosena Hill's voice is far better suited to that role than Kennedy.

*cough*any1isbettethanlauren*cough*....i mean her role is a hard role to fill when you need to reple sara ramirez...but i like her understudy.

There are some people who like Lauren Kennedy.
There are even some people who might actually want to see her in Spamalot.

I'm just saying...

I love how if someone critiques Josh Strickland they get hung but a great number of people on here are constantly bashing Lauren. Can you say “hypocrite”?

Lauren is a great actress and a beautiful singer. She is also an incredibly nice and genuine person. She performs her own interpretation of the role very well and it is unfair to compare her with Sara as she is not trying to mimic her. You will be extremely fortunate if you get to see her. Now leave the poor woman alone!

Rosena Hill is incredible. I don't know her in the role, but she sings "Speaking French" on the Lucky Stiff recording that I have. INCREDIBLE! She kind of sounds like Audra McDonald, but beltier. She's really good.

I love Lauren too, but her voice just isn't all that soulful. Of course, the role doesn't exactly call for that. I'm sure if Lauren had originated it and Sara replaced her, everyone would be up in arms about how Sara was too soulful or something.

Let me state the obvious for the millionth time and say PUT ORFEH IN THE SHOW ALREADY! And I'm sure LK is a lovely and talented woman, she's just not a good fit for this role.

I like Lauren when I saw her in the show. She wasn't as good as Ramierez, but that is an unfair comparison. She took her own interpretation of the role and it worked pretty well in my book.

I have yet to see Spamalot, so I doubt I'll get to see it with Lauren in it, But I really like her singing Jason Robert Brown, I just don't know how she'd do sara's part...

If it were only up to us AlmostFamous, Orfeh would have been the first and BEST, replacement. We can hope "they" do the right thing when LK leaves.

Actually when I saw her at Chatterbox she admitted to stealing some of Sara's stuff. I felt Lauren was better when she did her own stuff rather than mimicking Sara.

I'd like to think just this once, where Orfeh is concerned, they'll do the right thing and we won't have to sit around wondering how there could be such a ridiculous oversight, (think Aida, Wicked). IMO, they seriously screwed up not hiring her to replace Ramirez.
