May is my favorite time to visit. Broadway-wise, it's the best. It's Tony season when voters will be seeing the shows, so everything should be open and, barring extreme illness, everybody should be on. In other considerations, the weather should be lovely, the crowds aren't too bad. As a matter of fact, our next visit will be after a crossing in mid-May.
FUN HOME should certainly be running, but I suspect it will be with a new cast. I'm a huge Michael Cerveris fan, but I've heard great things about the replacements in the cast. When we saw it a couple of weeks ago, the U/S was in for Middle Alison and did a great job. It seems the company has a (good) family atmosphere that makes me hopeful for the replacements. (I'm certain also that there will be discount codes)
Personally, as for next season's shows, I just jumped on tickets for SHUFFLE ALONG and SHE LOVES ME. (We just saw HAMILTON - there should still be some seats available for May - I'd jump on anything decent ASAP). Not that you asked, but I'm interested in hearing word from the upcoming ON YOUR FEET!, MISERY, ALLEGIANCE, and SCHOOL OF ROCK shows. (Personally not all that interested in FIDDLER or COLOR PURPLE and will see about DAMES AT SEA)
