Is Williamstown Theater Festival "dressy"?

Never been to any shows in the Berkshires. Very familiar with the non-dress code on B'way. I know folks in the Berkshires can be fussy, are there expectations at the WTF of certain standards of dress?

No. I worked there many moons ago (I'm going back this year to see The Visit) and the dress is business casual. I recommend clothes that are in good repair (no worn jeans) but men don't have to wear a suit. Slacks and a shirt will suffice.

We went last year, loved our time there. Not dressy at all, nice casual is appropriate.

Just ordered my tickets for The Visit. The size of the theatre I am assuming better off being back somewhat? I went with Orchestra Row H Dead Center. Could have gone with row C all the way on the side. Wasn't sure if those would be obstructed.

Quasi-related: If you're hungry/thirsty in Williamstown awaiting the curtain at WTF, I recommend walking a few blocks over to Tunnel City Coffee at the end of Spring St., the main commercial drag. (No, I have no affiliation with the place.) Dropped in last summer when BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY was in its pre-Bway incarnation and thought the coffee and bakery bites were absolutely delicious. Added plus: Saw Steven Pasquale heading toward the place. I'm sure Tunnel City is recommended to WTF cast and crew, and no wonder.

(Semi)back on topic, I wish I could get up to see THE VISIT this summer, but it doesn't look likely. Hope it transfers.

Just wanted to add that you should keep in mind that Tunnel City closes at 6 p.m.
Also, it's pretty much the only coffee place in town. As for dress, I'd say WTF is very, very casual.

To be honest, it seemed a little dressier than B'way generally is these days. Especially the matinee.

Damn. I went for A 108 in the first balcony. I liked that it was an aisle.

We were in a right side box (as you enter the theater), 3rd and 4th from the stage, and couldn't see action on the extreme near side of the stage. Moved to center Orchestra at intermission (there were quite a few no-shows) and much preferred that.

For the other stage (Nikos) there are no bad seats
