This is one of the hottest tickets on bway right now. Other than winning their lottery, it's damn near impossible to get a cheap ticket

It’s actually not near impossible to get a cheap ticket... it just requires luck and a lot of perseverance...

Just keep checking Ticketmaster constantly... they do release some occasional $20 or $40 tickets the week of the show or the week prior... the Harry Potter seating/pricing thread is also a good one to check regularly as a lot of poster here mention when new tickets get released...

You just have to be on the website at the right time...

 

edit: I got $20 tickets the day of the show last week.

I've actually had better luck getting cheap tickets for this show than any other regular show on Broadway. I saw Cursed Child twice in two weeks for just $20 a performance and I had only bought the tickets 5-7 days prior to each show date. Because this show offers refunds to ticket buyers, I'm finding last minute $20 tickets available through their site (presumably having been rereleased after a last-minute cancellation). Keep an eye on that week of performances and you might get lucky.

Back in March I went to the box office and bought tickets for a total of 80 dollars. Balcony, horrible seats. They said it was full view but only if you sat on the edge and it was freezing. I’d see about going to the box office. I’m in the monitory- I hated it. But I’m also not a big hp fan.
