Excessive cursing. Is it necessary? In Mary Poppins? No. In a David Mamet play? It's fu*king mandatory. Get over it.

I don't think the original poster is questioning cursing in relation to the maturity level of a person seeing it, rather than it being necessary to the play/musical it is being used in.

I do think the cursing in Jersey Boys was excessive. However, I don't think the cursing in Avenue Q was excessive.

"F***! It sucks to be me!" is just not the same any other way...
