Does anyone think it's time for Sutton to move on from Millie. NOT THAT SHE'S BAD or anything, just her time to bow out and try something new. If so, what other roles do you think she should tackle?
She's fairly versatile, I've seen her as Sandy in Grease and Eponine. She was also Star to Be in Annie, and ensemble for Pimpernel. What other roles should she move into..?

Sally sounds great, but do you think Sutton's too tall?
I was thinking maybe Audrey, but then they'd hafta can both Hunter and Kerry
But think about it, Tall thin belty Sutton as Audrey, taller then Seymour...the way it should be...

Posted: 7/14/03 at 5:35pmHuh? Cabaret? Chicago? Sutton is not slinky, sexy, or seductive- which are three qualities needed in the roles mentioned so far. Cassie in A Chorus Line could possibly work when she gets older. As for things on Broadway right now, I think that she would make a great Peggy in 42nd Street. It would be lots of fun to see a brunette in the role, and I think that she could be great. I've suggested this before, and I'm sticking to it! Otherwise, I think that she could pull off Louis in GYpsy.

Posted: 7/14/03 at 5:41pmYou don't necessarily have to be slinky and sexy to play roxie and velma. I know the majority of the actresses play it that way, but roxie can be cute and coy without having to be drop dead sexy, and besides, Sutton's a strong actress and an amazing dancer she can pull it off.

Posted: 7/14/03 at 6:49pmI think Sutton will make a good Louise in Gyspy too, but I live Tammy as that part! But I don't think the girl who is playing June is as good as Tammy, so maybe Sutton should play June! I think she would be better as June anyways! And I would love to see Sutton in Chicago too! That is one of my fav musicals and I think Sutton can pull off Velma or Roxie!

Posted: 7/14/03 at 6:54pmAny actress can act sexy and slinky. That's why it's called acting. Look at some of the people who've played Sally in Cabaret who aren't the stereotypical "sex kitten." EX: Jane Leeves, Susan Egan, Lea Thompson

Posted: 7/14/03 at 6:57pmI think the part of Roxie Hart will be open for re-casting sooner than anyone thought. Sutton might be a happy alternative!

YEAH PJ! LOL
BTW, Sutton is leaving Millie in November. I think she should try working on a British accent and play Eliza Doolittle in a Revival of "My Fair Lady." LOL Oh man, I didn't even consider the fact that Julie was Eliza. Oops. Oh well, she can handle another Julie role.

Posted: 7/14/03 at 9:59pmI think that Sutton would be awesome as Eliza. I really think she could be great. Her singing and acting abilities totally fit that role. Sutton definately has the comedic timing to pull off Eliza.
