I thought the choreography was terrible, mistook busy for inventive. Wasn't helped a lot by the mediocre score or horrible costumes. IMO Nickolaw keeps on repeating himself, and it is getting old. At least The Prom's musical interludes were better than Tootsie's.
Interestingly, I think both shows benefitted immensely from the two same things: terrific book and wonderful performances by all featured players, with one exception: I thought the young female lead in The Prom (can't remember how to spell her name) was a little wooden.
