Is there a legal way to obtain press reels?

I've seen press reels from Wicked (videos of Popular and Defying Gravity). I was AMAZED to find that they were the full scenes--as opposed to 30 second type clips. I was wondering if there was a way to obtain press reels from Broadway shows--how to do it. Do only certain people have them or are they also for the public to see? I know press reels are used to make clips--but I'm looking for longer versions of the clips.

Are there any websites that have press reels?

I found them on LimeWire. They seem to be pretty rare...I had searched WICKED on there SEVERAL times before I found them (this was back in the summer). I have better things to do with my time now..

They are also on google video.....they have TWAI, DG, and Popular.

Not really, parks, unless you're a reviewer or another press agent.

Sometimes you can find them at the Bway.com table at the flea market -- I seem to recall we dontated a bunch when we were 'cleaning house' one year at the office.

I've seen various press reel videos on Ebay before. Not sure how legal that is, however.

Well those could have very well been obtained legally. However, it's not exactly legal for the person to be selling them on ebay.... but by the same token, once it's owned by you, Im certain you can do with it what you will

I figured as much. I assume there is some kind of disclaimer on them, stating they are not for commercial distribution.

Did anyone realize that there is a bootleg copy of the entire show on Google video??
