Is there any trick to getting AudienceRewards tickets?

I feel like I always miss out on the good tickets. I tried hard to get Kinky Boots with Brendon Urie, but I always missed out. I just saw that Spongebob Tickets are up on there, but they're also gone.

Are tickets released at a certain time? Should I just constantly check?

Yes, I would just keep checking. Specials come and go very quickly and tickets will go fast. That's been my experience.

The point value is kind of confusing. I think it's generally 2 points for every dollar, but some shows give more for certain performances as a promotion. They are added to your account once you see the show. Hard to say how much 1000 dollars in tickets is worth in points. On the website you'll see how much a certain show will cost. The cheapest option usually requires some money as well. Most shows only offer tickets for Tuesday-Thursday. They don't expire. Some shows are super expensive (5000 for one ticket), and some are cheap (500-1500 for one ticket).

I always thought Audience Rewards was a bit of a hoax. Before I lived in the city I bought all of my tickets online. I, too, had no idea I had been accruing enough points. I checked one day this past November and had enough points to get a free ticket to Dear Evan Hansen in early December. I've also gotten a free ticket to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (didn't want to pay any money to see that) and a $30 orchestra seat for The Play that Goes Wrong.

I've had really good luck. Usually go with the 5,000 points and $60 cash option. Recently: 2nd row center dress circle for Prince of Broadway, center orchestra for Come From Away, center front mezzanine for The Present, and just picked up tickets for The Band's Visit - orchestra row K on the aisle. I've had better luck calling, they can usually give you a few options.

My seats have always been good, usually mid-rear orchestra. For Waitress, we managed to grab two seats to see Sara Bareilles and were house right, but on the center aisle, and about 10 rows back. Just across the aisle might have been considered premium seating territory.

Peter and The Starcatcher (At new world) I went through AR twice and we were center orchestra both times, also about ten rows back.

I usually do the 1,000 to 2,000 points + $40 to $50 deals online, they do tend to sell out fast, but they have been pretty good seats, usually orchestra left or right, but right by the aisle or no more than 4 seats in... For Oh, Hello I got second row, which was pretty sweet!

I've only used this once, a couple years back, to get a front row mezz seat to see DEH. Is it possible to call AR and secure a premium-priced ticket in the orchestra section using X about AR points? I am hoping to cross-reference with the interactive seating chart while on the phone with a rep. Any insight appreciated! THANK YOU! :)

Perhaps for the cheaper deals. But if you go for higher point deals, where you can call in, you can often pick the seat you want.
