Is there going to be a 2-disc Special Edition DVD set for "Carousel"?

I want to buy the movie on DVD, but I would only like to do it once, so if they are coming out with a 2-Disc Version, like they did with "The Sound of Music", "Oklahoma", and "State Fair" then I would like to hold off and get the 2-disc version of Carousel.
I seem to remember someone posting something about this version on here, but can't remember. If it is true, when will it be released?

If there IS a special edition DVD, I hope it contains an alternate version of the movie. One that takes out the Hollywood improvements.

I remember reading somewhere that Carousel, The King and I and South Pacific were going to be given similar treatment to last year's R&H DVD reissues. Don't know when that's happening though.

The 2-Disc version of "Carousel" is already out in Europe. It's a safe bet Fox will release it domestically as well. Same thing for "The King & I" and "South Pacific."

Keep an eye out for a domestic release announcement in the coming months.

No, these are Region 2 DVDs and they are PAL. They would only work if you have a region-free DVD player with a built-in PAL converter to play on (our) NTSC TV monitors.

I would wait for the domestic releases.

The domestic release date (Nov 7th) has been announced for the two-disc special editions of Carousel, The King and I, and South Pacific.
