So last night my friends and I were youtubing clips of terrible movies, and we stumbled across Marci X which I suspect a few members of this board may have suffered through because Sherie Rene Scott is in it. Anyway, we were watching the clips of the boy bands and I think one of them is MM. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8dO33Quna8&feature=related

Even if it's not, I still think it's pretty hilarious :)

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention...I'm the good cop, he's the bad cop.

It very well could be. He was in one at a very early point in his career.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

winter_sky, I figured it was him (even though I clearly didn't check) but I really just wanted to post the clip. I figure BWW is the only place where anyone would care about that clip.

Apparently the other guys in the band are Adam Fleming (Hairspray, Wicked), Manley Pope (RENT) and Michael Seelbach (Wicked).

Haha, of course! I haven't thought about MARCI X for years. It was actually hilarious. Like it was definitely bad but incredibly fun. And it must hold the record for more Broadway stars than any other movie in the past ten years.

Theatre alum include...
Jane Krakowski, Sherie Rene Scott and Veanne Cox as Lisa Kudrows JAP friends, Adam Fleming, Matt Morrison, & Manley Pope as a gay boy band, Christine Baranski (the true star of the movie) as a right-winged senator and Andrew Keenan-Bolger as her gay son. And oh the list goes on with cameos...Charles Kimbrough, Walter Bobbie, Rita Gardner, Aisha De Haas, Capathia Jenkins, Nancy Opel to name a few. Also I believe the songs were all by Shaiman & Whittman

It's not good and certainly no box office hit, but it was immensely entertaining.
