Hey. I know there was probably a thread already created but hey I'm kinda new at this. I was wondering if there are any other Isabel Keating fans out there? (besides me) After seeing BFO I've become a huge fan. She's such an amazing, talented, actress. Just wondered if anyone else feels the same way.

She sounds perfect as Judy Garland. She is very good in my opinion
Yes.
I saw her in Enchanted April, and The Boy From Oz.
She's incredibly talented!

How was she in Enchanted April?
I saw Enchanted April and I didn't realize she was in it until I read this thread. I love her to bits. I was waiting to take some pictures of Hugh the other night, when Isabel exited the stage door. She came right over and signed my Playbill and I told her how wonderful I thought she was. She was adorable and so gracious. She's lovely too. Updated On: 8/22/04 at 07:23 PM

I went the see TBFO because I am a huge Hugh Jackman fan and came away being an Isabel Keating fan too!! She actually had some of the best lines in the whole show! The icing on the cake is she is one of the nicest people I have ever met--so gracious and sweet to a bunch of strangers at the stage door. The day I went, she seemed geniunely surprised that people wanted her autograph and pictures!
I hope she's not away from Broadway too long!
hey theartegirl.... i can't agree with you more. when i was at the stage door she came out and i swear i think i was the only one asking her for an autograph. she was so gracious and a sweet person with signing my cast recording. i actually wrote to her and i got a picture back along with a sweet letter. (i had asked her a few questions about her costumes and makeup) she so needs to do more broadway. i don't care if it's a musical or straight play on broadway or off. i will be there supporting her. with talent like that she needs to stay in ny.

That's nice to hear, thanks. I have to say I was tempted to leave something for her at the stage door, just to say thanks because she was so kind.
When I saw BFO last December I loosely knew that there was a "Judy Garland" character in the show but I honestly didn't know much about the show other than all of the hype about Hugh. When Isabel stepped on the stage as Judy and started singing I leterally got chills. I remember the last years of Judy Garland when she was skinny and shaky from her vodka diet and Isabel was spot-on. I totally believed that she was Judy Garland. I even heard the guy behind me mutter, "My God, I thought she was dead...". Fabulous performance...and it's great to hear that she is such a gracious person, too.
Yes I have to admit. I didn't know too much about the show going into it in December, except for well.. Hugh. But I do remember people around me saying something to the effect..."I thought she was dead." But yes she is a very gracious person. I'm so glad there are other people out there that admire her work and talent.
