It Starts With A Dream....Got Back From "Pamela's First Musical"

Depressing....Why? CAUSE I CRIED OF HAPPINESS!!!!! It was Amazing. The Girl who played Pamela, Lila Coogan. She deserves a Tony for that one time only role. Her and Donna Murphy is like wood and a match. It burns beautifully. Carolee Carmello Was also Outstanding as her two roles as Lyndell and Mary Ethel Bernadette. After all was said and done I got photos with and autographs with
David Garrison, Carolee Carmello, Donna Murphy, Kathie Lee Gifford,DONNA McKECHNIE, Christopher Sieber, and the Lovely Lila Coogan.

I hate being arrogant but this Playbill with the autographs will be worth a pretty penny someday. But not of money but HEART AND MEMORIES. I would never ever give up this once lifetime memory for ANYTHING!!!! The song i loved best was "Manhattan Moves Me"

My best friend was there. He adored it and said the score is top-notch. He said the music is trademark Cy Coleman with lots of big theatre songs. He said Zippel's lyrics are great if Wasserstein's book is a little lacking. Said Donna Murphy was great, Carolee superb in both her roles. Kathy Lee, according to him, appeared to be drunk!

Wasserstein's book was wonderful.

The script for this project hardly resembled the original book.

There were some standout performances. Donna Murphy, in particular, was fabulous.

Such a touching and emotionally charged afertoon at Town Hall. The show is filled with excitement and pure joy in everything Broadway. Donna Murphy, Lila Coogan, Greg Edelman, and the sprite David Garrison were the standouts in this starry cast (Carmello was pretty great also). It was hard to let this one go.

I hugged Carolee cause i just love her personality. She stayed for along time at the backdoor. Her family is very sweet! She even signed like 8 cd's,magazines,playbills and photos for a lady. She asked me for my sharpie to use for someone else eeeeek!! I surprised Chris Sieber by flashing him in the face with a camera but then got one of him and me. I got a quickie with Donna Murphy with my cell phone camera but not one with me in it cause my camera battery died but i got her to sign my playbill and talk to. KAthie Lee talked to me and said "God Bless Sweetie!"

Lila and me talked briefly and her i guess family member told me that playbill she signed will be worth something. Lila is trully something. I got a quick pic with Joel Grey and
O I got a pic with the naked cowboy in time square tehe

Im glad to hear you had a good time. Still so sad that I could not make it (although In the Heights was amazing tonight!). I did not know that Christopher Sieber was in the cast either, I didnt see his name when I was reading about this but that is so cool. Thanks for the review!

This Pamela's first musical was PETER PAN... Oh... Wait *blushes* Not really the topic here... (My real name is Pamela)

I want to see this for SOOOO many reasons. Thank you for the reviews and it seems like it's off to a good start

Yes Christian Borle was in it. He played two roles. The costume designer and the light/effects person for the Musical within the musical. The score was Magnificent. I remember David Garrison's number "Pamela, Welcome to Sardi's, Here's where Theater world comes for a brew, here we throw, opening parties, owing the legends and all of the theaters who's who."

David also had a great song how Broadway bores him and miserably critiques most of the shows that are on Broadway since fiddler to Mamma Mia!

If there was a recording. It would be SO SUPERB! The voices are so pure with MUCH MUCH MUCH HEART.

hey curtains girl, or anyone else who can answer me...

i saw the show (AND LOVED IT)and now i have the song pamela sings stuck in my head, but i don't know all of the lyrics. i know "i'm a stranger on the wrong floor, with the right key, at the wrong door but ---something--- i want to go where all of the pieces fit" and that's it- can you help me remember the rest?

Honestly when people record the shows and put them on youtube i get irritated but i really want the songs of Pamela's First Musical to come out somehow so I can relive the heartening Experience lol ..... Then Again at least i have a signed playbill tons of pics, and I can say I have witnessed Heaven on Broadway. OMG I hugged Donna Murphy, Carolee Carmello, and Kathie Lee.......... WEEEEEEEEEEE

I don't know, I wanna hear more about Murphy though. I guess since it was a concert there wasn't really much to talk about or to do.
