FALLEN ANGELS Reviews

THE LOST BOYS Previews

Apr 26, 2026 — 5:18:40 PM

I went into this yesterday afternoon as a last minute decision and curiosity. I don’t know if the house opened late, but when I arrived at 1:35, the line was almost at 6th Ave.As for the show, it is the spectacular people have wanted. I went solo and was surrounded by fans of the movie and families. And a full house. It is far from perfect, but I think it could be review proof. It is a wonder to watch. Some songs could be eliminated easily and some of the book is cringe. I say this as someone ...

Olivier Awards 2026

I’m kinda shocked by the Punch love. It seemed not well liked here. I loved it. Was it the American cast? Genuinely curious. Also, I hate YouTube for cutting everything up.

CHESS Previews

Oct 15, 2025 — 12:24:45 AM

Saw invited dress tonight, but keeping things to a minimum as procedure on here. No stops. Not a dumpster fire. It gave me chills to see it live for the first time. Nicolas Christopher is a star! Holy crap. I can’t wait to go back. Some quibbles, but I’ll keep that under my wig until tomorrow night.

THE QUEEN OF VERSAILLES Previews

More tomorrow, but that was PAINFUL. Major missed opportunity not giving Sofia a solo number. Also, were people paid for rapturous reception? Everyone around me was nonplussed.

JEFF ROSS: TAKE A BANANA FOR THE RIDE Previews

GoldenGirl4 said: "BoringBoredBoard40 said: "Random scattered thoughts. We got free bananas afterwards...which ok?"Why the bananas? Does he talk about fruit in his show?"I am guessing he is playing on the term “second banana”. I’m seeing it tomorrow night (yes, it is heavily papered). Friends have seen it and really liked it, but I am dubious. I like him, but still don’t understand how this got a Broadway house when most people don’t know who he is. Frankly, I was like “Why?” and why is this o...

REAL WOMEN HAVE CURVES Reviews

dramamama611 said: "Wow!"And a great WOW! I saw it last Wednesday after seeing the second preview. The nips and tucks were clear. I saw a much better show that is fun, poignant, and filled with life. So happy for the positive notices. It deserves it. Let those women have curves MAKE IT WORK!

JOHN PROCTOR IS THE VILLAIN Previews

inlovewithjerryherman said: "Absolutely *LOVED* this. One of my favorite things I've seen in a while. The entire ensemble is on fire. Sadie Sink is exceptional, and has the most pivotal role (talk about an amazing entrance), but this really is a show where no one is the star. Everyone was *exceptional* and the play was thought-provoking, funny, moving, and still easily digestible. Get tickets now before they become as expensive as Othello's."Just grabbed a seat on Theatr for a good deal and g...

MAYBE HAPPY ENDING. BREAK A LEG

OhHiJohnny said: "Any thoughts on first two rows in terms of sight lines? They’re pretty heavily discounted normal seats, but I’d rather center than side if the sides are so obstructed, and orchestra than balcony if the front apron is obstructed. But if the stage is obscenely high or another thing… gahhh why is it so hard to get cheap tickets that can actually see the damn thing?"I can’t honestly speak to those rows as I was in G1 in the Orch tonight, but I can imagine even being as tall as I ...

Horror On Broadway?

Feel stressed when arriving to the theatre?

Apr 23, 2024 — 7:35:44 PM

I go to a show about once a week. I arrive 10 minutes prior to curtain (knowing full well that that the show doesn’t go on until 5 minutes past the hour). I am usually coming from work, so I have a bag. Never issues even if they need to check my bag. I will never understand people lining up an hour before curtain. It disrupts no one and I’m not spending idle time sitting with my long legs.

Lincoln center will get a new leader

Feb 8, 2024 — 3:23:08 PM

Broadway Flash said: "Yeah I’m sure new people went to the disco. How many of them purchased a ticket to the ny Phil afterwards?"I mean, that is a good question. Assuming the summer events were ticketed (free or not), LC (should have) captured patron information to add to mailing lists and email blasts. With more modern programming at the Met, movies with a live orchestra, and programming at Jazz at LC, they may have been able to capture some new audiences. Only they would know this data, but...

Lincoln center will get a new leader

Feb 8, 2024 — 12:47:07 PM

Broadway Flash said: "What does a dance party have to do with the programming at LC? I doubt summer in the city brought new people in. Probably people who either go to Lincoln center, or people who have never seen anything there and just wanted to dance. It was tacky and I hope they don’t do it again."You contradicted yourself here. You doubt it brought new people in and then say it might have brought new people who have never seen anything then and wanted to dance. I thought it was kinda coo...
