#1"It'll All Blow Over" lyrics
Posted: 11/11/07 at 10:53pmDoes anyone know the lyrics off-hand to the song "It'll All Blow Over" which was cut from CABARET? We all could really use those lyrics right now, because of what's happening with the strike. If I need to be convinced it'll pass, it needs to be BANGED INTO MY HEAD LIKE A DRUM or a KANDER AND EBB VAMP!

I think "The Day that Chaffey Spoke at St. Malachy's" from Ragtime would be more appropriate...
I love the one lyric about Charlotte St. Martin
"She was calling out remarks, shouting what she did not know,
And she found that she was paddling with no oar,
With a heart as cold and old as a chilly winter morn'
Hell- hath- no -fury, like St. Martin scorned!"

I was more thinking of something OPTIMISTIC, not covering what happens just to make things worse.
"It'll All Blow Over," I think does the trick. Anyone have the complete CABARET sheet music? It's there!
Another thing I think would be "If You Believe" from FACE THE MUSIC. Or, from that same show, "I Say It's Spinach And The Hell With It."

Are youy guys TRYING to make me feel bad until it reaches the point of borderline psychotic? I want to feel good, knowing that it will pass soon.
If somebody, ANYBODY, has the song lyrics for it, I'd be beyond grateful.

I found these appropriate lyrics:
"Brother Can You Spare A Dime"
Once I Built A Railroad, Made It Run
Made it race against time
Once i built a rairoad, now it's done
Brother can you spare a dime?
Once i built a tower to the sun
Brick and rivet and lime
Once i built a tower, now it's done
Brother can you spare a dime?
Once in khaki suits
Gee, we looked swell
Full of that yankee doodle de dum
Half a million boots went slogging through hell
I was the kid with the drum
Say don't you remember, they called me al
It was al all the time
Say don't you remember, i'm your pal!
Buddy can you spare a dime?
Once i built a railroad, made it run
Made it race against time
Once i built a rairoad, now it's done
Brother can you spare a dime?
Once i built a tower to the sun
Brick and rivet and lime
Once i built a tower, now it's done
Brother can you spare a dime?
Once in khaki suits
Gee, we looked swell
Full of that yankee doodle de dum
Half a million boots went slogging through hell
I was the kid with the drum
Say don't you remember, they called me al
It was al all the time
Say don't you remember, i'm your pal!
Buddy can you spare a dime?

Okay, delete this thread.
I'm not sure this is helping anything AT ALL.

Clouds come along, love
Things may go wrong, love
But do be strong love, it'll all blow over.
Wait and see!

Thanks, jv92.
Mattbrain has a good suggestion too, and I love the song, but it's going to drive me to DRINK! And I want to stay away from alcohol. Anyway, great songs.
Or how about "Positoovity"

I wouldn't be too surprised if I saw the cast of DROWSY performing that song from the top of their lungs on the sidewalk as if they were absolutely inebriated.
And I wouldn't be too surprised if I saw the cast of CURTAINS singing "Blow Over" (if they knew it).
