I hear Rebecca Luker is Mrs. Banks....there goes my theory about her taking over for Laura in Wedding Singer....maybe Laura will take over for her in Poppins.

Well I am very excited for Ashley!!! Can you imagine how great of an experience this is for her. Going from On the Record, to Beauty and the Beast, and then Mary Poppins. I can't wait to see her do this role.

I think it's fine that she's taking the role. This early in her career it makes sense to take what you can get. After this maybe she should try to branch out, but I think it's good for her.

To be cast as Mary Poppins is about as grand a thing that could ever happen for anyone at any point in their career. I hardly feel that she should have EVER considered turning it down. It's likely to be the talk of the season and a huge hit. It won Laura M. K. an Olivier and could win her a Tony. It's a major deal and I'm sure she is so thrilled that she's about to die.

Yay for Ashley! Shame it isn't Kelly, who I thought was brilliant, but there is no other person I could think of that could be better. And I'm thrilled that Gavin Lee is coming over too. He stole the show, and even took some of the spotlight away from Kelly at times.

She is going to be a Disney girl all her life, poor thing. She should do like some risque musical after she does Mary, where she sings about drugs and sex. It would be pretty awesome.
