Saw them on Sunday, and you are in for a treat. Most of the same group was here last year - and I was more impressed this time. Eric Kunze is incredible. He's got this voice that shoots up into octaves I didn't think were possible (kind of a controlled rock-star belt), and he can shift into this quiet, delicate vocal style that is so eerily powerful. His acting is so moving, and he has amazing chemistry with Natalie Torro....that type of chemistry that can't be forced - it's just there or it isn't. And for them? It's definitely there.
Natalie is very good as 'Mary' - beautiful voice. The man playing 'Judas' (don't have my playbill handy) has an outstanding voice. What power and control. I saw him last year when he was filling in for Carl Anderson (who was ill) and he has come such a long way with this role.
Todd Fornier (Simon) was strong and I enjoyed his song.
Lawson Skala is 'Caiaphas', and believe me when I say he's the creepiest thing to ever hit the stage. You want to just bow down to that guy - and I didn't know a human voice could register in that low of a key
He commands the stage when he's on.
