re: JERSEY BOYS TAKES IT!!!!

Gypsy never won best musical, and Dolly won for Best ORIGINAL Score as well. Phantom of The Opera beat out Into The Woods...hmmm? Regardless, you seem to think (however inexplicably) that Jersey Boys deserved to win... congratulations.

Anyone who doesn't like JB needs to get out of this post. Don't bash the show. If you don't like it, move to another thread.

I believe that Best Book was a sort of consolation prize. Drowsy's book was fantastic, as JB's was, but I believe that they just won it to win something good.

re: JERSEY BOYS TAKES IT!!!!

Anyone who puts Spamalot in the same category as Jersey Boys clearly has no idea what they're talking about. I think you might as well admit it: You haven't seen Jersey Boys, have you?

re: JERSEY BOYS TAKES IT!!!!

DreamFlyer22, no I have seen Jersey Boys. I'm just experiencing, as many of us are, post Tony frustration and temporary insanity. Jersey Boys was a good show, it has much more depth than Spamalot. However, I still believe that Drowsy deserved to win the award. Although you have calmed me a little with your earlier post. Very well stated.

Sorry. Didn't mean to land on you so hard. I understand the frustrations!

Here... I have a little "liquid fortification" left from my party- here's to high emotions and the crazy world of theater!

Cheers!
