ok, don't shoot me for asking yet ANOTHER Wicked question. But I remember hearing that if an actor isn't there (if it isn't a scheduled absence) and their name is above the name of the show on the poster (like JLT's...does this make any sense) than you can ask for your money back. Is this actually true and if so can we ask for our money back if JLT isn't there on 1/1 (considering I went to the box office and asked if she was scheduled to be there and they said yes.)

i dont know about getting your money back but you can get tickets for another day.

yea right. I wouldn't that would be possible since this is Idina last week and there are massive amounts of people. would they give us priority in the cancellation line or something. or if we went to the box office and told them would they just give us other tickets??

As far as I know if a star is above the title and they are out, you can get a refund. I went to see Aida and Deborah Cox was out and I asked for a refund and they gave it to me and I went to Tkts and got great seats to Caroline and Change.

JLT has bronchitis, according to someone on another message board who spoke to people at the Gershwin. She is hoping to be back for Idina's last week.

Megan Hilty has received many rave reviews from fans, and the stars do not make the show- just because JLT is out I wouldn't discount the whole production.

Yes, apparently this is something a lot of people don't know. If the performer is ABOVE the title and absent, then you can go see the show and then go get your money back.

The Gershwin BO people are really cool. You can always return your tickets, even if none of the 'stars' are out and they will give you your money back. I've done it in the past when I had a spare ticket and although everyone was on they took my ticket without asking why.

I checked the board before the show and then asked the guard and he said no. So I went to the box office and got a refund. I did this before the show. I never heard of anyone watching the show and then asking after the show for a refund becuase a star was out.

the Gershwin posts it nice and big who is and who isn't in the show.

they won't refund your tkts if you watch the show - the point of refunding them is that they will resell the tkts. seeing the show then asking for your money back is like wearing a shirt for a whole day, deciding you don't like the color, then returning it.

Where is this sign or star above the name?
I have never heard of this before but I remember when idina wasn't there i had no idea i could have gotten a refund rather than seeing shoshana.
