so happy to be able to see him again!
I've always liked him. He was the first Valjean I ever saw, and the best.
I saw him two weeks ago in a Richard Rodgers pops concert with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, conducted by Marvin Hamlisch. Anne Runolfsson was the other soloist. McVey sang (and acted) one of the best "Soliloquy"s from "Carousel" that I have ever heard. YAY

Right, guys, but...what did he sing? I always like to know so I can imagine the setting

He sang Cole Porter's Night & Day and Begin the Beguine. Amazing.
Paul: What a treat for you to have heard him do 'Soliloquy'! He brings so much to his performances.

His is THE voice on the A Tale of Two Cities concept album. I was hoping for a duet with James Barbour.
p.s. Jim's other guest performer was Jenny Powers. Jenny sang "Time Heals Everything" from the musical Mack and Mabel. Lovely.

"Begin the Beguine"! What a great song choice! I love the Julio Iglesias version, and I would have loved to hear McVey perform it.
Thanks for the other songs info, too :)
He will be appearing with Marvin Hamlisch in concert soon in Miami.
