These guys sang a song together at the NY Music Theatre Festival Benefit on 5/4. It was about 2 boys seeing each other across a train station, one was wearing a long scraff.
I thought it was from BARE, which i just saw, loved it, But it was not.
Anyone know anything about this song/show?

The song is called "N and R", and Michael Arden himself wrote it. He's a composer as well as an actor. The song isn't from any musical (it was written for a Matthew Shepherd benefit concert, I think), but Michael _has_ written his own musical, entitled 'Easter Rising', which had a reading a few months ago.
I haven't heard "N and R", but would like to. Can you describe it?

It was great, again 2 guys seeing each other across a subway platform, trains going past them, one wearing a long scraf, which becomes a funny line. very cute piece. thanks for info.

Micheal is increible onstage and off.. multitalented to the extreme. remember his name.. he will be a HUGE star one day
I agree. I loved BARE, and the thing I loved most about it was watching and hearing Michael Arden perform! This young man has great stage presence. His performance was truly remarkable, the kind that sends shivers up your spine.

Most definately. I had PRIME front row seats (Hill and Fleming close up) but I also had the perfect seats for several very emotional scenes.. a few where Micheal was kneeling before me and we were practically eye to eye.. the intensity and the way he commited to those moments were SO moving for me.. as well as seeing the tears from Jenna's eye fall from her cheeks and spot the stage flooring...
I had those seats too (front row, about third seat from the right aisle); best in the theatre. Don't forget Michael and John's hot kiss while choosing what to wear to the rave.
This was really a great show for front-row seats, because the performances were mesmerizing. There was a tear trailing down Michael's face in the last scene that I probably would have missed if I sat further back. Gotta love the boy.
Let's start a Michael Arden fan club! =-)
N&R is a brilliant song. I had the opportunity to hear John Hill and Michael Arden sing it a couple of weeks ago. Very well done!

I agree Blue Wizard. Sitting there, especially with the entrances, which came fromalong the first few rows, REALLY made you feel as though you were a part of the story..
and yes, that tear on Micheal's cheek NAILED me as well. As I said to Jenna during one of our talks, "Girl, ya'll had me BAWLIN!"
Like I said before, Micheal Arden WILL be a HUGE star soon!
5/4 was my birthday!
