ok....
I'll save Lisa stuff for later and actually pretend that i focused on the other performances, haha.... ok, so anyway...
Seth was soooo great as the MC! He was hilarious!!! Awesome job... the rest of this aren't in any specific order.. and pics from the show are gonna be up tomorrow.. i'll post a link
MELBA MOORE-- wow!!!! So good!! She sang two songs.. both we're like sooo good. She belted both of them, i was really impressed.
Shosahana Bean- sooo good! She also sang two songs.. she messed up the first one in terms of wording a little bit, but it was fine. Seth also mentioned that she was going to be filling in as Elphaba for a week, and as soon as he mentioned Wicked i went nuts... but one one else in the audience cared about Wicked, so they thought i was nuts, haha
Rachel York--- OMG! this girl can sing...
Cheyenne Jackson-- great! Sang a really pretty song. And got the best pic with him!! He's soooo hot!
Micheal Arden-- so great!!!! And so were the other two guys from Bare.. they're all soooo cute!!!!!
Those were the standout performances for me.... AND NOW I SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST!!!! LISA BRESCIA!!!!!
So good!!!!!! Sang a beautiful song by Peter Allen... she was just perfect. AND NOW SOME HUGE NEWS.... well, Lisa fans.. IM me bwaygabby416)for the huge news!
Besides her onstage performanace she was sooo nice offstage. WE told her about the site, and she got soo excited. She talked to us for a while before the show, and then during intermission and also after. She was sooo nice... ugh, she's the best!!!
If anyone wants more detailed reviews... PM me!!!!

Thanks, luvWICKED. I can't wait for the photos tomorrow. Was there a printed program? If so, when you get a chance, could you list the songs the various artists sang? If not, don't worry about it. I'm just glad you had such a great time. I wish I could have been there.
And I loved your reaction to Rachel York. She is my absolute favorite singer of all time. There's no other voice like hers on the planet. She can sing anything in any style. And what a range!

HE WAS SOOOOO GOOD!! And he looked sooo cute! He sang a song from TMM, really really good... "What do I need with love"
is that the name?? I think so..
sorry, i can't post the huge surprise... cause i don't trust a lot of people on this board and they are gonna give my big surprise bad vbies... and that's not good!! IM me... bwaygabby416 if you wanna know

Shoshana Bean-WOW! "Home" is a beautiful song...Scott Alan is an incredible young songwriter and I wish him the best. I might actually try to catch her in WICKED...
Michael Arden-WHERE DOES THE VOICE ON THIS KID COME FROM??????
Lisa Brescia-classy girl and can really sing...
Cheyenne Jackson...wonderful, amazing, gorgeous, etc. etc. etc. I can't say enough great stuff about this guy...everyone should love him.
KT Sullivan-I loved her! I thought she brought a touch of old Broadway to the evening.
Tom Anderson-the song he sang was absolutely heartbreaking...he had tears in his eyes and I think most of the audience did as well.
Adam Fleming/John Hill-I think John Hill does not get the credit he deserves! He plays the role in BARE like he's told to play it. True, Michael Arden is amazing and a rarity, but it's not fair that John is constantly being criticized...I really loved their performance tonight. The guy definitely has a ton of talent.
Max von Essen-should just put out an album of MILLIE covers...between his "Only In New York" and "What Do I Need with Love"...excellent...what a voice.
Rachel York-never even heard or saw her before (was just thinking, "Is that Sherie Rene Scott?" when I saw her in the audience) but, wow, she can belt!
Alix Korey-I just really, really loved the lyrics to the last song she sang, "We Should Be Kind."

yea rachel york definitely had me doing a SRS double-take, and yes, she can belt.
max was funny because he told seth that he had just taken the redeye so his voice might not be so hot and he nailed the song....yea, seth definitely made fun of him for that.
ummmm, YEAH michael ardens voice does not look like it comes from michael arden, but i was bored out of my mind with the song.
cheyenne - jesus, what else is new, amazing song, aMOZZING performance, but again, its cheyenne and im with nativenewyorker all the way.
shoshana - holy sh*t. i think that about sums it up. OH she sang "live out loud" from lippa's "a little princess", theres an interview with him and julia murney linked on playbill.com, he sings the song there, shoshana really tore it up. she also sang "home" from "piece" by scott alan. yea. amazing performer, amazing song (im the official scott alan fan club), hell be big.
melba moore - oh my GOD! "i got love", she belted the sh*t out of that song!
yea "N & R" by Michael Arden, was performed by fellow Barees Adam Fleming (BG2 alert!!) and John Hill, who definitely does NOT get the credit he deserves. Seth even mentioned that and how it was rude that they closed BFO instead of letting John go on.
billy porter was obviously excellent, dont remember what he sang.
lisa was really good, i liked her better than when i heard clips of her in aida, maybe its a live thing, but she was really amazing.
yea Barrett wasn't there (the capitalization comes and goes FYI)
I don't feel like thinking anymore.
I'm sure Mattio or someone will post a much more coherent review tomorrow.

Thanks, NativeNewYorker for your kind words about my song, 'Yard Sale.' It was a blast to be part of such a special evening full of phenomenal singers and songwriters, and thanks, too, to the amazing audience. A big thumb's-up to Seth Rudetsky, who was a riot; Michael Lavine, who produced the event and played for most everyone, and Dan Whitman & everyone at the Center, which was so supportive. (And as Seth said, I'll be back at the Center on Thurs., Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. with my own show.)

Shoshana been has a GODDLY voice.
Michael Arden is INCREDIBLE.
John Hill is WAY underrated
Adam Fleming is in DIRE Need of a breakout role. He is a phenimonal!
Cheyenne Jackson is always a pleasure
Max Von Essen is never dissapointing
Robb Sapp needs a role to show him off now.
Why didn't Johnny T and Barrett perform? Barrett certainly was at Jesse Ferguson's gig at the Ars Nova.
Ok i know im slightly biased... but seriously, Lisa was flawless... I was really impressed by everyone though. The whole lineup was great... ND I JSUT GOT MY TICKET FOR OCT. 17TH! YAY!!!

G - Both JTags and Julia Murney weren't on the updated cast list that was released a little while ago, so it's no surprise that they weren't there. As far as Mr. Foa is concerned, I have NO idea where he was. I sat down after intermission and between songs I remembered not seeing him at all and when I checked the song list he wasn't listed, so apparently they knew even though we did not.
