perhaps. LOL.
Shoshana's CD is going to get SO much play in gay clubs. We DO love our belters and she is the queen of them all! LOL.

The way I heard it: Originally, John Tartaglia and Barrett Foa were going to do a duet from 'Avenue Q,' probably 'If You Were Gay.' Unfortunately, a family function arose and John had to withdraw, so that number went by the wayside. (I don't know if Barrett was asked to do a solo, too.) As for Julia, she's been on vocal rest, doctor's orders, which is why she didn't appear here or at 'Broadway Unplugged.'
Happily, there was plenty of 'Songbook' talent to keep everyone entertained.
I think actors, cabaret singers, etc., are the most generous people around. They're always being asked to do benefits and they do them readily. And it's not as if they can just slip into a benefit for 10 minutes, do their song and leave. They have to find time to get together and rehearse the number with a new accompanist; maybe go to a sound check, and hang around for the concert until it's their time to appear.
And they do it all for free. Yes, it's disappointing when a favorite performer drops out of a benefit, but it's been my experience that they usually do their best to keep a commitment. Nobody loves to cancel, but sometimes that's the way it goes.

Yup, guilty as charged. I ran into Cheyenne last night at the show, and he says he's gotten such incredible feedback to the Playbill.com interview we did. Yay!
Speaking of Cheyenne, here's a photo of him, along with some of the other singers from that sensational 'Songbook,' thanks to Michael Portantiere at TheaterMania.

I totally forgot about this - can anyone who was there tell me how Robb Sapp was?
I did a couple shows with him back in high school - sooooo weird now to listen to him on cast albums and stuff, but I always used to love listening to him sing and he was a really nice guy. Just wondering how he's doing and how his performance was.
Thanks! :)

If I show you the darkness I hold inside, will you bring me to light?

Robb was great. He sang a great new song from Zanna, Don't and did a wonderful job with it.
