Jackman and Craig doing research for "A Steady Rain" -
>Hugh Jackman, Daniel Craig arrive unannounced at 26th and California
James Bond and the Boy From Oz are not regular visitors to the Cook County courthouse. But then, Thursday was an unusual day at 26th and California.
Around noon, the movie stars Daniel Craig (the current Bond, left) and Hugh Jackman (a Broadway star and the most recent host of the Academy Awards, below) arrived at the Cook County Criminal Courts at 2600 S. California Ave., unannounced.
Before long, deputies' hearts were a-twitter. "They came in, best we can tell, with everyone else and walked around pretty nondescript," said Cook County Sherriff's spokesman Steve Patterson, adding that the court was not told of their arrival in advance. The actors confirmed their identities when asked.
Craig and Jackman were traveling incognito on a Chicago research trip for their upcoming Broadway play, "A Steady Rain." Penned by the Chicago writer Keith Huff and first seen at the Chicago Dramatists theater, "A Steady Rain" is an intensely realistic play about two born-and-bred Chicago police officers trying to deal with the pressures of their job. <<<

They are bonding ( no pun intended) together, as they were also seen at a Cubs game
They must be soaking up the atmosphere for the play and testing how their stage accents ( hiding one posh Brit accent and one adorable Aussie accent) will hold up in a Chicago setting. Hugh has been in Chicago for about a week, including hanging out with Richard Marx ( whatever happened to their album project?) -probably testing his accent among the natives?
How often does onsite research while preparing for onstage roles happen, with all the costs that it entails? This sounds like how pre-production for a movie is done.

I had the privelege of meeting the two while I was working at the Medical Examiner's office this morning on Harrison. Definitely not what I was expecting to see at work today!

Sounds like a beautiful bromance is developing.

> What an amazing night! King Billy rocked it out -- and had two very, very special guests! Richard Marx, famed singer and song writer ("Don't Mean Nothing," "Right Here Waiting"), joined the band on stage for several songs, including his written hit made famous by Keith Urban, "Someday Baby."
Hugh Jackman then joined the guys as well and brought down the house on a "Right Here Waiting (for you)" collaboration! <<<

It looks like they have released new premium seats for A STEADY RAIN, but at slightly higher prices.
It also looks like that the new seats released are for Row C and K, for now.
