Oklahoma is one of those classics that I can't make it all the way through. And this version seems to make it even longer. Did anyone really miss "It's a Scandal, It's an Outrage"?
Even the sight of Hugh Jackman in chaps couldn't make me watch all of it...

I liked the addition of the two songs, "It's a Scandal" and "Lonely Room." The latter, as sung by Shuler Hensley, is truly spine tingling -- Hensley is absolutely fantastic and his Tony and Olivier are well deserved.
What I also liked about this is that the three principals -- Hugh, Josefina Gabriel and Shuler -- all do their own dancing in the dream sequence. I found that sequence boring in the film, but in this production, I found it a pleasure to watch.

Posted: 12/28/06 at 11:56pmmy issue with this staging (both on this presentation and when i saw it on broadway) is that the house is obviously built to be viewed on an angle (its called forced perspective kiddies) so when they pop out of the upper windows and turn it forward it just looks like a shack
