I saw the show for the first time last night, knowing very little about it and knowing only small amount of Alanis music.
I also didn’t realise that Laurel was the understudy for MJ until reading this thread this morning!
God she was good, I was thinking whilst watching she’s surely going to get a Tony nom, although alas that can’t happen. Rest of the cast also exceptional, and I really enjoyed the show.
Was Laurel on again tonight? Seeing the show again on Sunday and wondering if I might see her. Also wonder if Stanley is okay?

Laurel was only on Wednesday night, which she performed without a put-in, incredibly I might add. Elizabeth was back on Thursday night. Deanne Stewart was on as Frankie tonight (Friday).

Thanks. Maybe I get Stewart on Sunday. Fingers crossed.
I'd love to be able to find out with a little advanced notice if Laurel is going on next time! I've been waiting to see her. I do love Elizabeth Stanley in the role though!
Celia posted on twitter that she's been out sick. Stewart was/is on for both shows today. Odds are she's on tomorrow, too.

You are indeed seeing Deanne as Frankie today.
So excited to see Stewart's Frankie today.

She's amazing. I was at her debut. I'll be there today too.
Stewart is amazing as Frankie. What a gift to this show to have an understudy this good. I found her in every aspect better than Gooding. Consider it a treat if Stewart is on as Frankie.
FYI, there's audio out there of Ezra's Jo. Just saying. The key is lowered, but still very powerful.
