Most of the time, he comes off as a charm-free pothead, but I agree with Robbie, he was excellent in MILK. He was also great as James Dean, but that was a thousand years ago now.

I'm no lover of James Franco (unfortunately). I have liked him and disliked him, and certainly his recent public behavior hasn't been charming, but I don't see this as OMFG! blatant miscasting. I can picture him in the role. And while my hopes will be tempered, it doesn't seem out of the question for this to be successful. Come on. It's not like they cast Chris Colfer.

I can take him or leave him. I was disappointed by his performance in OZ.

How many would really push him out of bed?
ok...better yet
How many would avoid the stage performance even with the nude scene?
