Hello! I will be in New York in January for two nights. On my arrival day I am seeing King Charles III. I find myself completely unable to make up my mind about what to see on my second night. So, BWW forum people, what should I see and why? Thanks in advance.
I have already seen: Hamilton (loved), Fun Home (loved), Aladdin (enjoyed more than I expected to), Beautiful (tour--liked well enough), Book of Mormon (tour--loved), Jersey Boys (tour--didn't like), Kinky Boots (tour--liked a lot), Les Miserable (enjoyed), Matilda (really liked), Spring Awakening (loved), Curious Incident (loved), Hand to God (really liked), and Wicked (tour and Chicago--really liked).
Disclaimer: OF COURSE I don't expect people who don't know me to decide for me. I will ultimately choose for myself. But I am waffling a LOT on this, so I would appreciate input. I've not posted here much at all but I've read for quite some time and I (mostly
) respect the opinions presented.
Did you see THIS production of Spring Awakening? If not, truly consider catching it, as it's quite different.
With your history, you haven't left too many stones unturned! What are you even considering? Another play? A musical?

Yes, this one. It was exquisite. I have been in the city often in the last two years, so I guess I've seen most of what I REALLY wanted to see. Hence my dilemma. :) I would see either a play or a musical. I have some interest in The Color Purple and some interest in A View from the Bridge. I also would consider off-Broadway if there was something great. I just don't know.
I found "Something Rotten" funny and entertaining plus it is great seeing Brian D'arcy James and Christian Boyle. "American In Paris" has beautiful dancing and music from Gershwin so how can you go wrong, my family loved it. "School of Rock" will have officially opened by January so you may want to check the reviews on that next month. Finally,"On Your Feet" got mixed reviews but every review I read seem to agree it was entertaining and the leads were very good.
