Wow Cats...you just brought back a good memory. I think I have this album on both vinyl and disc and need to go find them. I used to listen to this album all the time. As far as I know this was never done on stage and I don't think it was meant to be. There is some information out there about it being a part of a film that never happened but still might have a life.

What Cyndy said! "Forever Autumn" is one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs ever recorded. I heard it occasionally on radio in the late 70s (as sung by Justin Hayworth of the Moody Blues). Always brought a tear to my eye.

Haven't thought about that song in a long time; thanks for the reminder!

THRILL ME composer/lyricist/bookwriter/star, Stephen Dolginoff has also written a War of the Worlds Musical entitled PANIC. I had the pleasure of performing in readings of it several years ago. Some very nice tunes. It's focus is mostly on the drama surrounding the broadcast.

It was done as a record album. It may have been planned for eventual stage production but sales were sluggish. Steady, but slow. Nothing more ever came of it.

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

If I recall there were about 4 songs in the "musical". Mostly it was a 2 record set of WOTW BEING read by a narrator
