In a revival of J&H, who would be part of your cast?
Come on! I really need to think of an Emma! Someone famous and good

Posted: 9/9/05 at 8:08amWell, if it were a production of Phill Hall's Jeckyl and Hyde - I have a lot of ideas. But if we're talking Wildhorn's, I can only say - puhleeze don't even think about it!

Jekyll/Hyde - Antonio Banderas (he'd be awesome!)
Lucy - How can I not go with Linda Eder?
Emma - Kelli O'Hara
Utterson - Taye Diggs
Sir Danvers - Michael Crawford
The Spider/Savage - Johnny Depp

Posted: 9/9/05 at 2:19pmObviously I'm way behind the times, but did they change Lisa Carew to Emma in the show? Was it because Lisa and Lucy sounded too alike? I'm intrigued.

Posted: 9/9/05 at 9:04pmWith the right cast & Bring On The Men put back in (my wife was devestated when it was taken out) a fantastic idea
re: Jekyll and Hyde#10
Posted: 9/9/05 at 9:12pmWhy y'all suggesting people who would be too old for the show NOW, let alone for a revival?

The concept recording showed so much promise.
And why, on WHY did they cut "Bring On The Men"? Unquestably the best song in the show. And damn could Linda Eder belt it out. It's probably one of my favortie musical songs.
They should have cut the songs they kept, and kept the ones they cut. Sigh.
re: Jekyll and Hyde#12
Posted: 9/9/05 at 9:29pmAt least they put it back in the regional productions.
re: Jekyll and Hyde#13
Posted: 9/9/05 at 10:43pmThey said it added nothing to the character and felt it just too cabaret styled and slows the pace down. If they were concerned of slowing down the show, they should have cut the same 5 songs jekyll sings that are all about the SAME thing, ugh those drag
re: Jekyll and Hyde#14
Posted: 9/9/05 at 10:49pmThat may be, but its 100x better then that odd Good 'N Evil song. I really would have loved to see the original staging for "Bring On The Men". Anyone care to share how the scene was set up?
re: Jekyll and Hyde#16
Posted: 9/9/05 at 10:50pmI could definetly see Idina Menzel as Lucy...
re: Jekyll and Hyde#17
Posted: 9/9/05 at 10:52pmOnly if she wears that lace outfit - for the WHOLE show.
re: Jekyll and Hyde#18
Posted: 9/9/05 at 11:03pmI totally agree about how BotM is better than good n' evil, even if the last 20 seconds are absolutely crazy belty stuff I do love so much with a good voice like that.
re: Jekyll and Hyde#19
Posted: 9/9/05 at 11:14pmWhat about Judy Kuhn for Emma? How old is she? And how old is Emma supposed to be?

Emma - Christy Tarr
Wasn't she an understudy for Emma at one time?

"What about Judy Kuhn for Emma? How old is she? And how old is Emma supposed to be?"
That's so wrong. Judy was in her mid-30s when she was in the Les Miz 10th anniversary concert. You do the math.

Froget the revival, I know Wildhorn wants to bring J&H to a movie theater near you...
Hugh Jackaman for the title role.
