I was just wondering if any of you guys were there when she went on and didn't fly during defying gravity? I wanna know what she did when that happened.

Sorry I'm new. Well, not like that's an excuse but thank you very much for the info.

So I asked Jenna about what happened and she says that the hydrolic air pump wasn't filled before the show (techies not doing their job...tsk tsk) so she didn't go up.
WickedGeek, Akiva is friends w/ her and I think might know the most about the situation. It is nice to know that she did her job. Was the date of that performance 4-13-05? I'm thinking either 4-13 or 4-12. Anyone confirm?
I never said we were friends, just friendly. I am a fan just like you guys. I'll check my ticket stub later for what date, because I saw it a few days after that.
saw her last night as nessa and sorry to say but she was better than michelle.. allthough michelle was good too!! shes just a nice person as well! I love her!
i saw jenna perform nessarose may 7th: she really DOES rise above and beyond any standards the audience has for nessa. i saw the original broadway cast, so i was able to compare and contrast easily. hands down, jenna is the best nessarose there is. michelle was great, and perfect for the OBC, but jenna is outstanding.
i also got to see her play elphaba, june 4th: she was excellent, for what it was. and she flew just fine! i prefer her as nessa than elphaba, but i was glad i got to see her in both roles anyway.
and diebob21, you're right; she's a terribly sweet person in real life. derrick introduced us and i gave her a green rubber ducky in celebration of her understudying elphaba and being awesome at it. she's very, very sweet.
she's got fantastic pipes for such a teeny person! :]
i bet with more green-time she'd be a lot better at it. on the whole she was very good, but at this point i wouldn't say good enough to replace stephanie. and her voice is gorgeous, but for elphaba she needs to tone down the scooping a bit.
Jenna was awesome as Elphaba on June 11th. I am so glad that I was fortunate enough to see her performance. I also agree that she is a really sweet person. I gave her a copy of the picture I took with her at the beginning of the Wicked run in Chicago and gave it to her June 11th. She seemed really greatful and really thanked me. It was great .
