Wow! I just saw a video of Jenna performing "defying gravity" and i was blown away! Does anyone know if she's up to play Elphaba soon? Either on the tour or broadway? I know Julia said something once like she will only be doing her 6 months on the tour..and Maria Eberline said she isn't in contention for Elphie right now...any ideas??

Jenna is doing Nessarose on Broadway. Julia Murney is doing Elphaba on tour.

I dont know if shes going on tour anytime soon. I saw the tour when it came to Chicago last year and I saw it twice. I saw it once with Stephanie Block and then I saw it again and I was dissappointed at first to see that Jenna was going to understudy, but I absolutly loved her performance. If she is going to do it on the tour i hope you get a chance to see her.

yeah, ive seen the tour twice and julia was elphaha both times...and she was great, i just like to see other people as well and when i saw a video of Jenna i was blown away. hopefully she'll go from nessa rose to elphaba by the time i get up to NY :)

Jenna is playing the part of Nessa on Broadway currently. I saw Jenna's last performance as Elphaba on the tour (Stephanie called out sick the night before the last show for both of them) and Jenna was fantastic. I have been a huge fan of hers forever and she's so talented and such an incredible person.

Now, where's Heather? She'll love this post.

I saw Jenna Leigh Green as Elphaba in Hartford and I loved her. Her voice was a lot more feminine and delicate than any other Elphaba I've heard; however, she still belted the hell out of her songs. And, if I remember correctly, she was a bit shorter than Kendra Kassebaum, which was sort of adorable! I was blown away by little Libby Chessler!

If you're saying that she's horrible, JustChillin, you'd be wrong. Videos/bootlegs aren't always the best source of material to base opinions on. I saw her perform the song live and she was fantastic. And I saw that video of her and I agree, it wasn't her best, but every performer has an off night every once in a while.

I'm not saying she's horrible, I haven't seen her so I can't judge but Sparklesss seems to think she's great judging by one video and I thought maybe she should see some other ones before she forms an opinion.

Saw Jenna's Elphaba in Toronto and she was Incredible!
She was also Flawless in BARE!
And as sweet as she is Talented.

someone asked where i saw the video (and cant seem to get reply private messages) so i saw it on youtube...through shoshana's site...and theni went to a jenna site and listened to a couple songs, so yes maybe the site would put up all good sounding songs so maybe she isnt as awesome as that video justchillin, but based on what i saw, i thought her voice was really great and powerful.

Best elphaba I ever got to hear. She was amazing, and shes so nice at the stage door.
