Jenna Ushkowitz

Jenna Ushkowitz, a former "Broadway Kid", was recently cast in "Spring Awakening." I don't know details, though- I just saw her perform as a kid when I was a very devoted fan of the Broadway Kids. Anyone know anything about this?

Right now she's a swing. I do know that Lilli Is leaving for a bit to finish up HS. And then coming back so maybe Jenna is stepping into her spot for that time as well?

Instead of making a new thread, I thought i'd just bump this one up.

I heard that she went on as Marta a few days ago... did anyone happen to see her? I'm really interested to know how she did!

Well I didnt see her as Martha- but I did see her last Saturday as Thea (who Remy Zaken usually plays) She was really good....I was on stage, so could hear her singing when she was next to me, and she sounds like she has a fantastic voice!!!

She will go far!

I saw her as Martha and she was wonderful! She fit into the show so beautifully!

When i was there for spring break i saw her as martha... it was her first week there and most likly her first time playing martha and i'm not going to lie but the first couple bars of "The dark i know well" where quite off. but as the song went on it got much better but my and my friends cringed when she started singing for about 30 seconds but she was way nervous you could tell and like i said she pulled it off as the song went along. I then saw her as thea 2 weeks ago and she rocked it.

i didnt see her of her u/s roles but did see her as a swing onstage when i saw it one of the two times i went. i was also onstage at that performance and she was def rocking it out and is enjoying herself. met her at the stagedoor and she was so outgoing and sweet and was walking with alexandra so got a picture of the both of them.

i was reading wondrful reviews of all u/s tracks and they are all positive.

congratulations to her for being one of those broadway kids who is still pursuing their dreams. i wish her the best in her future after spring awakening.

I LOVE her in the chair...she does rock it. But I've seen her understudy two roles and was not impressed with her acting in either.

She's really a nice kid though, we saw her at SD a few hours before she went on for her very first time. She was shocked we knew who she was.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
