re: Jenna's note in 'i'm Not that Girl'??

Interesting...so we are saying that during WitF, the parts are changed for Kendra and stay as written when there is an understudy.

Stephanie, For Good was originally written with Elphaba singing the higher parts, I think thats just how its supposed to be. Also about Katie Adams...I heard her last city was St. Louis so I dont even think shes in anymore. I know they brought in another Ensemble member/Glinda u/s because Im pretty sure Katie's gone.

Anyone confirm? Gretch?

Actually, in For Good (at least with Cheno and Menzel) it changes back and forth as to who is on the higher part. At least it does in the special features from the PBS Broadway special. I took special note of this because I always assumed that Cheno would be singing the higher parts, but that's not the case. Now, I don't know if this has changed since that video was done or if it changes depending on the actresses portraying the roles.

Regarding the last note in I'm Not That Girl, I always thought the note that was written sounded strange and anti-climatic. I think it makes the song sound like it's not over. I've gotten used to it, but that was my initial impression.

When Idina and Kristin were in the show, "For Good" was sung with both ladies altnerating the high and low parts. If you listen to the cast recording at the end of the song, Kristin takes the lower and Idina takes the higher. Given Chenoweth's voice, I'd imagine the end of "For Good" and the final note in the "I'm Not that Girl" reprise were the hardest notes for her to hit in the show.

Yeah thats what I meant...like near the end Idina took the higher and Kristin the lower, and I think thats the way it was written because Im pretty sure its been done that way since.
