Since it's been posted on her site, I guess it's safe to talk about it now. Yes, Jen is the new Christine alternate! This is a dream come true for her and for those that know and love her. I still get choked up just talking about it. If you ever read her journal, you might understand how much getting this role means to not just her, but to her entire family.
So...YAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!

Oh good for her! I'm glad to see that there's going to be fresh blood in the role of Christine. Looks like I'll have to make a trip to the Majestic this summer to see her perform. :)

does anyone know if Howard Mc gillin is going to play opposite Jennifer?

No. I know for sure he is leaving around the same time as Sandra Joseph, but if my mind serves me correctly, he may be leaving a week or two before.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

bummer! thanks though. Who will play Phantom next? and whoever plays Phantom, does he perform matinees as well?

no, it seems Howard's contract isn't up yet. But if Sandra Joseph will leave Phantom, who will be the official Christine?
