She's singing later .. probably One Night Only .. she seems to be avoiding "And I Am Telling You" ... probably a smart move.

She has IT. The film was not a fluke or sleight of hand trick. That was a great performance on a show not known for it's great live performances.

I thought that was Seth on piano while I watched the performance last night but wasn't totally sure. When I signed on BWW this morning, I knew that someone would have confirmed it if it indeed was him. I am glad to see that I was right -- way to go Seth!

Hhhhmmm....my Tivo has a Season Pass to The View; after work tonight I'll have to sit down and watch her. Wish I would've remembered about Letterman. Oh well, what can ya do?

Where did you hear about her being forbidden to sing AIATY until after the Oscars and what is the reason for that stipulation?

She also didn't sing it at her Hammerstein Ballroom concert at New Year (although she sang just about every other song in the show) or in any of her other tv appearances. I've heard various reasons why she's been forbidden to perform it live, but the main one seems to be to force people interested in seeing it to see the movie -- if you want to see her sing "the song" then you have to pay ten bucks (or whatever) to see it. No need to give away the highlight of the entire movie for free.

She has a good voice, but often crosses the line between singing and screaming, I think.
