With everyone having mixed views on Stresiand's Dolly, I am anxious to see clips of Channing during the original run. Many say she was the epitome of Dolly but for some reason I am having a hard time believing that. Is there anyone here who saw the original Dolly? Would love some insight. I have watched a few clips of the 90's revival and was not impressed.

I am biased cause Barbra was my first exposure to Dolly and have loved her and that movie ever since, so she will always be My favorite irrational Dolly.
