Jersey Boys - Broadway

I'm find it awkward that there is a thread where people (albiet the people that actually post in the thread are few) discuss the coming and goings of the touring companies but there isn't a major thread discussing the production on Broadway. I'll get the ball rolling, so post news, questions, or anything else regarding the broadway production (cast members or the show itself). Let's see how this turns out.

re: Jersey Boys - Broadway

popular_elphie, from what you posted in the tour thread, I figured you might enjoy one about the broadway production.

re: Jersey Boys - Broadway

I do, thank you! I'm just hoping more JB fans, Broadway and not Broadway, post in this thread.

re: Jersey Boys - Broadway

Like popular_elphie said in another thread these casting directors really know how to cast replacements. Travis Cloer was so great as Frankie. He has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. I also really enjoyed Colin Donnell's Nick.

re: Jersey Boys - Broadway

Just a few hundreds of times..... (Broadway Cast "teasers" and awards ceremony performances on my DVR/TIVO)

And once, in person at the Virginia/August Wilson. Cool seats in the front mezzanine which are the same as the 1st row loge at the Curran Theatre.

FINALLY!! A Jersey Boys B'way thread. I've only seen the show once and I'm absolutely dying to see it again. I think it's my current favorite show and the cast...I can't even put into words how much I love them. Fantastic.

Love love love this show and cast. I haven’t seen the tours but I have seen videos and to be honest I’m not really feeling them. The day that first original season departs is going to be one sad show. There is no other cast with this much chemistry.

I couldn't agree more :P

I saw him at the Law and Order episode and he was so manly...just like Mark Wahlberg in Shooter!

re: Jersey Boys - Broadway

speaking of that Law and Order episode Christan did, it was a great episode all around. I hope NBC replays it.

re: Jersey Boys - Broadway

He's got a lovely voice, and I really like his take on Frankie but his look is strange for the role compared the other boys. Maybe in a new cast I'd enjoy him better.

Jochang621,
Travis was excellent as Frankie.
His voice is very smooth, sings Falsetto and all but I noticed he looks very comfortable singing. Like a bird, very smooth I thought. His acting was also Excellent! I tell you I had my reservations prior to the show cause I never saw Travis perform as Frankie, but I have to tell you now after seeing him onstage and performing Sunday, this man has won my heart. I think he is the next Frankie. I also love Michael L. as Frankie.
So these two actors are my favorite understudies for Valli.
