thanks lucydee! i think the role of frankie is so hard to cast, and wasn't sure if there were enough actors in the world to fill all the spots for frankies on tour. i've heard good things about michael longoria too.
she'samarshmallow, what do you mean about his look?
I thought the same thing you did. Not enough actors to cover Frankie, then I saw Michael and now Travis and I hear from Freinds who love the show a much as we do that Jarrod Spector is also very good and even looks like JLY at bit.
The one I worry about is Christian. Who can they get to replace him if he does not extend his contract?
Who can they get to replace him if he does not extend his contract?
Deven May? Jeremy Kushnier? A host of other Tommy covers out there? A completely outside hire?

The casting directors know what they're doing with this show. If they need to find someone to fill a role in any of the companies, they're going to find the perfect person.
Yep -- they've done great. It's not worth the "worry," plus the show is sold out and will be until, oh, I dunno, Boublil & Schönberg write another hit musical. It's like Wicked. Even if they got a god-awful Tommy/Elphaba they wouldn't have a problem filling seats.
Mll85,
You know you are right! The casting directors do know what they are doing, look they found Travis.
I have heard also from people who have seen Devan May, that he would make a very good Tommy.
Well we'll see what happens.
Heather Ferguson is on as Lorraine all this week and sounds rather excited about it.

Anybody from the Broadway cast transferring to Vegas or London?
It seems to me that Eddie Driscoll from the SF/Chicago Company is gonna be transferring to London and Douglas Crawford from the 1st national tour will be transferring to Vegas :P
Just a hunch :0)

I LOVE Jersey Boys! I have seen the show once on Broadway, and will be seeing it when it comes on tour to my city in April. They are all so nice at the stage door and are incredible actors!

I found this on JLY's Blog today
We Are Ellis Island
Since most of the people living here have bloodlines linked to other countries, their ancestors may have gone through Ellis Island, and by having an "American Idol", "Tony Award Winner" and others as ambassadors for this great benefit is a great way to let people know that we need to preserve our history!
When I visited Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, I felt that sense of pride and that these symbols of our country should stand and provide a portal to the past for our future generations. I'm wondering if JLY would be accepting donations on his blog as well, since he's accepting them on behalf of BC/EFA too.....
Just wanted to thank all of you JERSEY BOYS fans for all the information on standing room tickets- I'm finally going to see the show this Saturday afternoon :) I'm going to get there early though, so I'm pretty much guarenteed a ticket.
I'm pretty psyched.
Anyways, I'll probably see Michael Longoria as Frankie, right? I heard John Lloyd usually doesn't usually do matinees. I don't really care, though, I've heard awesome things about Michael, and I'm not seeing the show to see any particular person, haha.
By the way, I'm not very up-to-date on the whole JERSEY BOYS thing, so I hope Michael is still the understudy or else I'll sound ridiculous...
Anyways, thanks :)
That's an awesome picture of John.
A friend texted me to say that Colin is Nick tonight. Hope Bobby isn't sick! Everyone seems to be getting sick lately (including me!).
Michael Longoria has his sked on his site: http://www.michaellongoria.com/
well, I guess I will be seeing Michael then
thanks, Lizzie
YAY this thread makes me happy. I saw the show last month after having been obsessed with the recording for about a year, and it was breathtaking. The actors are SO gracious at SD as well, whcih also made me happy.
PS MikeMagbaleta... your avatar is amazing. I have a koala obsession.
Anyone know when Cory Grant starts as the Frankie alternate?
I thought Travis was the alternate...no?

Cory is fulltime Frankie for matinees. Travis is the fulltime Joey. Travis has just been currently on for Cory since the strike has been over. I think Cory will be starting next week though, if he hasn't this one.
Travis has only been the alternate Frankie since the strike.

Any word on who may take over for Daniel?

If you caught what someone posted in the tour thread for a quick second before they changed it, you would have gotten a hint about who it's rumored to be.
