Haven't seen the scaled down production (tour or off Broadway) and was wondering how it was! I love this show and don't want to see a poorly done version of it. Just wasn't sure how the show was holding up, thanks!

I saw it back in June. I had planned on seeing another show, but it closed in May so this was my only option for a Monday night that both my mom and I would enjoy. I had seen the tour about 7 years ago and liked it a lot. This was originally my least anticipated show of the trip, but my mom and I both ended up loving it! We had understudies for all four leads but we were blown away how good the show was! I would definitely recommend it in this space. It fit perfectly, in my opinion. The cast all around was great and I didn’t feel like I missed anything from when I saw the tour.

I saw its first preview and haven't been back. I love Jersey Boys and while I didn't dislike this production, but I feel like it's more for newer audiences (younger people who were too young for/disinterested in it on Broadway) or people who saw it on Broadway 7-10 years ago. It's a little too scaled-down for me.

I couldn't find a newer thread for this. I saw this on Thursday night. Completely sold out. I had seen this about 10-12 years ago on Broadway so wanted to revisit. It seemed like the same show overall or at least the parts I remember. However, I agree this scaled down version takes some getting used to especially the smaller ensemble playing multiple roles. The 4 leads were fantastic and they should all have strong careers ahead of them.

The show was still great and just as fun as last time. The crowd was also really into it with several people giving standing ovations throughout the show.

The fun thing about New World is they have the Puffs show there too so I was able to buy their imitation butterbeer drink and have it during this show. Seems like it's available no matter which show you are seeing.
