Oh, forgot to mention that J. Robert Spencer was out of the show that I saw and Steve Gouveia went on for Nick Massi and Dominic Nolfi went on for Steve's roles. Steve and Dominic did a great job and I just wanted to praise them for the difficult job of understudying and swinging.
Understudies and Swings Rule! I've done it before and it's the most nervewracking I have ever done...but also the most rewarding when you finish the show.

Ok. Nobody's mentioned Michael Longoria or Peter Gregus yet. How are they?
And what about the girls?

Awww...c'mon. Nobody likes Michael Longoria, Peter Gregus, Sarah Schmidt, Jennifer Naimo, Erica Piccinnini, or Heather Ferguson?
I'm anxious to hear what they're all like.

I got tixs for my birthday but have to wait until May 25th. I am both happy and anxious.

Yeah. The wait till March 28th is killing me (especially since I really have nothing going on before then other than work.) If I was keeping busy, it wouldn't be so bad. Oh well. It'll go quick, I'm sure.
I still can't believe I'm going backstage. My dad's girlfriend is letting me borrow her digital camera for the trip (it's WAY better than mine) so I'll post tons of pictures when I get back.

Backstage?? That's absolutely AWESOME. Definately post those pictures when you get back!
And, yeah... random Jersey Boys love from me for the day.

hehe. Yeah. I'm freaking out. It's my first Broadway show EVER and I get to go backstage. I'm really really nervous though. The entire cast is just amazing, and I know they're all really sweet. Just never gone backstage before unless it was a musical/play I was working on at my school.
I have already decided that when we go backstage, I'm not going to ask for autographs. I'd feel wierd doing that. If I really want those (and I do) I'll stage door after. Then I can tell them how amazing they were. lol. But before the show, backstage, I'll just do pictures. If they'll take them...oh I hope so.
No matter what, I'll post whatever pictures I have when I get back of course. It's my first ever trip to New York, first every Broadway experience. Jersey Boys the 28th, Sweeney Todd the 30th. I'm so excited

I saw this show tonight and I loved it. I had an understudy for John Lloyd Young, Dominic Nolfi and he was fantastic. Now I have to go back to see it with him in the role given the rave reviews he's getting.
I immediately went to Virgin to buy the cast recording. What a fun night of theater. That cast works hard between moving the set pieces, costume changes, wig changes, and all that singing (can't imagine how someone could sing the Franki Valli role 8 times a week).
Some really inventive set design and lighting as well. Just loved the whole thing.
