What do you love about Jersey Boys?
Tell me or this BIG GIRL will CRY!
The first time I saw Jersey Boys, I really liked it. Then, I went back with a friend who wanted to see it... AND I LOVED IT!!! The show has this momentum that's incredible (good job Des). Christian Hoff is an incredible actor, and he blows my mind in this role. I am such a huge fan of this show, and can't stop listening to the CD. I can't wait to bring more people and spread the Jersey Boys love. I can't wait to see it again myself!
I can't stop listening to my CD. John and Daniel's voice are gorgeous.
I agree! All of their voices are incredible! What a perfectly cast show!!!!!
Saw it in previews, thought it was great! Due to that, going to see it again on Tuesday (1/31). Don't sit in the first few rows, stage is high. Loved the show!!!
Also just saw Barefoot in the Park - very enjoyable, stage VERY high there, so agin avoid first few rows.
Jersey Boys was soooo much more than I thought it was going to be...John is obviously incredible, but I agree with whoever said Christian Hoff is too. It was very well-written and acted, and I've never seen an audience react the way they did. Great show.

Sharing the love, y'all. Amazing cast (especially JLY), great book, great sets, great direction, and great tunes. An unbeatable night of enjoyable theater.

The cast completely rocks and the show is very well put together... not bad for a bunch of songs that were a "hit 30 years ago". Guess good music never dies and is brought to life amazingly 8 times a week for our enjoyment! YAY!

I just saw it and loved every minute of it. I've never seen a more enthusiastic audience either. The dancing at the end is great too, and the guys were great at the stage door.

I also loved the show. Daniel's voice is just incredible. Christian Hoff was exceptional as well- such charisma!
I haven't seen it YET (I'm trying rush in March) but I have the OBCR, and I LOVE it. My family and I listen to it all the time. I can't wait to see this show.
Add me to the list. Saw it in San Diego and liked it so much we saw it again on Broadway. The show has amazing energy and of course the great music. Christian Hoff was my favorite, but all the boys are wonderful!
I saw the show on New Year's Eve and LOVED it. The cast is exceptionally talented and energetic, and the music is great.
Don't leave J. Robert Spencer out of the love!!
I kinda rotate between who's my favorite. It changes from day to day. I agree with the cheers for Daniel's "Oh What a Night", JYL (just in general! ) and Christian Hoff's tough guy Tommy.

"... chasin' the music. Trying to get home."
Peter Gregus: "Where are my house right ladies?!"
(love you, girls! - 6/13/06)
Also saw it in San Diego & went nuts! The audience in San Diego went crazy, too--was only supposed to be a six-week show & was held over for four months!
The show rocks like no show I've seen before! Saw it on Broadway in November. The Broadway audience's reaction was even better than the one in San Diego the year before.
Why I love it?
How can you not like the 4 Seasons' hits? Bob Gaudio is an incredible songwriter/musician! (In the words of Joey in JB, "He's a *$*$&# genius!")
The Cast!
The minute Christian Hoff walks on stage--WOW! That guy has a great voice & he plays the tough Jersey guy perfectly!
John Lloyd Young: Well, he's got the voice that rivals Frankie Valli, and he's an amazing actor--still am amazed at how he played Valli from a young teenager to a matured guy who experienced a lot of heartache.
Daniel Reichard: Can a voice get much better? I can't quit playing "Cry for Me" daily! He nails it as young genius Bob Gaudio.
J. Robert Spencer: As the "Ringo" of the group, I think he was sensational. His portrayal of Nick Massi was incredible! Thought his performance really stood out during the big confrontation scene w/the guys.
Oh, yeah, did I mention how gorgeous these guys are??!?!?
I have tickets for July & hope to get back in late fall, too!!

Oh, and I love it when Daniel goes on a rant about the "old city/country/something" (it's neighborhood, thanks wicked_mimi) toward the end. He's great too. If this gets screwed over for the Tonys because it's a jukebox musical I'll be sad.

My two favs of the cast are the "under dogs." Don't get me wrong, John and Dan are great but I prefer Christian and Bobby's performances. Especially Bobby's rant about the towel's and Tommy's bathroom behavior.
Dan's rant at the end is about the old neighborhood. He could care less about the old neighborhood! It is funny but I prefer the boys who are proud to be from Jersey... that's just me though. Christian rocks as Tommy for that reason... he nailed that Jersey Italian! Not bad for a Swedish guy from Cali huh?
I just love that this is as close to "Sopranos; the musical" as possible... My dad loved it for that reason... the music of his generation helped too! It's a great family show... even though the language can get pretty rough at times.
I loved this show. I'd like to throw out some love for the ever-talented Tituss Burgess. He has incredible vocal power... can't wait to see what role he does next!
I have yet to see the show (I have tickets for it March 28th.
I listen to the OBCR almost every day, I can't get enough of it.
I love all the guys. My favorites tends to rotate as well, right now I'm on myJ. Robert Spencer kick. lol. They're all so unbelievably sweet and talented and I can not wait to see this show. I already know I'm going to love it. How can I not? Those songs are the only thing getting me through doing Dining at work. lol
(Just trust me, it's the worst job possible.)

So, yeah, the Tony Committee says JLY can be nominated in the Lead category.
And has anyone noticed how much Broadway.com hates this show? Since its opening to huge reviews and major box office, it is still not on the Bway.com list of recommended shows on their home page. But Lestat and Tarzan are. What's that all about?
Ok, I have to add to the love. I saw this show over the holidays and I had only heard the name but didn't know what it was about. As soon as I looked at some promo videos, I just had to get a ticket. I waited in line (only 5 people in front of me) and got the first adult ticket - the people in front of me were waiting on student rush.
I got second row partial view, and I agree the stage is too high for the first few rows, but I loved the show regardless. The show was the highlight of my trip to NYC and I cannot praise it enough. I even bought a "Jersey Boys" baseball shirt before I left.
I am planning to return to NYC and I will make another trip to see Jersey Boys.
