Previews begin this Friday, December 1st. I'm going on 12/6. Preview tickets were only $50. Unlike most "Best of Broadway" touring shows, they are not advertising a closing date so I guess they are leaving it open like they did the first time "Rent" and "Lion King" came here. Tickets are on sale through February 11th but there are no other stops scheduled until LA on May 25th. Tour Website

I just found out my counsler at camp is a swing in it. Small small world.
"I never had theatre producers run after me. Some people want to make more Broadway shows out of movies. But Elliot and I aren't going to do Batman: The Musical." - Julie Taymor 1999
Last night was the first preview. No reviews here yet?
By the way, tickets for the first row are $25. They go on sale day of show two hours before showtime, at least according to the West Coast Board on All That Chat.

Thanks for that Jimmy. I’ll either do rush or get a cheap seat ($30) for a show during the week. I’m just not interested enough in the show to spend more than that. I find it silly that balcony seats are $50 during previews when you can get them for $30 later in the run.
The show should most likely come to Philly, and I absolutely can not wait to see it. There is so much talent on this tour; it will most definetely be amazing.
I just got back from the matinee. Your guys were great! I bought one of the front row restricted view tickets but I'm seeing it again Wednesday night from Row E of the Orchestra so I will be able to see everything.
I hope you all enjoy your run in SF and on the rest of the tour! Great job!

The rush tickets are available during previews (I went today) but there are only about 12 seats or thereabouts in Row A and the view is LIMITED since the stage is high and the seats are low. Also, the lights will be shining on you a lot and sometimes they are very bright which will might also limit your ability to see the stage. If you are OK with all that, you need to get to the theatre and wait in line early and bring $25 in cash. I got there today at 11 and there were already six people waiting in line. The tickets go on sale two hours prior to showtime. You might want to go for the balcony tickets instead. I think they will be $45 for the regular run. From what I was able to see, it's a great show and the cast is excellent. Next time I'll be seeing it from a better location.

There is something similar to TDF in San Francisco called TIX; tix sells tickets for shows the day of, though really only for shows that aren't selling well or have no high demands for tickets. SHN shows are rarely on tix, though you never know.
Jimnysf, thank you so much for your help! I was actually able to see the matinee today because of you! I'm so happy I was able to go and get tickets. I had planned to get there a little bit earlier than 11, but ended up getting there late, at around 11:15. I was the first one there, but people started coming after that. I was so worried that I wouldn't get tickets!
I loved the show. I have seen the Bway cast twice and didn't know how the touring cast would be. They were so great. So much energy. I'm so happy I went!
Erich, you and the other cast members were amazing! I really enjoyed the show. I know I'll probably be trying to get rush tickets again soon. Thank you also for the photo. Hope to see you again soon!

Today, I attended the matinee performance of "Jersey Boys" and it was nothing short of fantastic. The cast was superb and incredibly strong; the vocal power was amazing and they had these characters very well studied. The four boys are definately something to brag about: Deven May, Erich Bergen, Michael Ingersoll, and Christopher Kale Jones are very well cast and prove themselves beautifully (all of them are adorable btw). Also, I heard the show is here in San Francisco until April... Updated On: 12/4/06 at 01:27 AM
Do you have to have some knowledge of the Four Seasons to enjoy this show? While I’ve heard good things about it, I don’t know anything about them, and that’s why I’m hesitant.
Still I want to give it a chance, because I’ve made it my mission to see as many different shows as I can. Variety is good.
Has anyone tried to get box seats? I was able to get box seats at this same theater for A Chorus Line a few months ago, an hour before performance on a weekend for $45. View is full view, and the seats were great. Not sure if they're allowing box seats for JB performances, I went yesterday and the box seats were empty except after intermission, a couple had snuck into a box seat to enjoy the show from there.
Any chance of extension after Feb 11? No shows are scheduled at the same theater after JB unless Virginia Woolf with Kathleen Turner is going to be at this theater (theater not listed on the website yet). I think JB is going to do VERY well in SF.
Does anyone else NOT like the staircase in the front of the stage?? It definitely blocks the view for some unfortunate people sitting in the front side orchestra. Maybe they can make it a clear staircase...
